The ones who have no ambition (but so many ‘other type of desires’) obviously are, what else are they supposed to do with their lives apart from popping babies and b**hing about in laws and husbands? I’m not even talking about Pakistan or lack of opportunities there, I know many born and bred British Asian females who go Uni, get degree but disgustingly enough their ultimate dream is still to get married (mainly to an imported husband) and become a full time housewife. They don’t even bloody return a tiny viny fraction of their student loan, instead happily spend their entire life on social benefits. My question is why go to Uni, why take up someone’s space, government’s money when you no real idea, purpose and ambition for your qualification? Its because of them stupid kinds degrees are losing their charms, Unis are becoming degree churning factories with every Tom, Dick, Harry just being there for sake of being there. These pathetic women and men make every tax payers’ blood boil and tell you what you actually have couple of very famous examples on this board.
Agreed. BTW, as regards your question about going to Uni, a number of women study only so that they can get a better “rishta”. Kind of like a value-added good.
