Who's the Bride???

Re: Who’s the Bride???

It absolutely IS a waste of money…that’s why it troubles me so.
And don’t worry…the shaadi ka lehnga is not coming out again…at least not in it’s original shape and form. :cb:

And no, you CAN’T do that anymore…

Re: Who’s the Bride???

Do you have any pictures of your wedding lehnga?? It sounds special

Re: Who's the Bride???

You've never been to a wedding in Pakistan !!!

Re: Who's the Bride???

^that's because during wedding season people in pakistan and india probably have like 6 or 7 weddings to go to and the men probably get bored of dressing up for every one of them.:D

Re: Who's the Bride???

Yeah I think there is a time limit..after a few years I want to have my outfit changed but I have no idea what I could do with it.. :(

Re: Who’s the Bride???

No but i can ..

Wait, no i cant… :damnit:

Re: Who's the Bride???

i still can't comprehend this! jeans and cotton to a wedding??! jebus. what is this world coming to?? and are their other halves dressed similarly or are the ladies dressed to the nines? i would NOT let andrew leave the house if i was dressed in black tie style and he was wearing jeans.

Re: Who's the Bride???

yaar my bro wore jeans and southpole sweathers on my sis's wedding, he refused to wear any dress suite or stuff.... oh and he drove me nuts to find those damn jeans and sweaters.....but we knew it was just a phase he was passing through and mom and dad didn't make any issue as far as he was presentable.... now he has started working in bank and dresses up properly :D

Re: Who's the Bride???

Yeah in Pakistan, guys will go to weddings dressed in teeshirtsand jeans and stuff! at least that's how I've seen quite a few guys in my family there dress up....usually they're teenagers/single etc. :D

Girls on the other hand, will dress up in shalwar kameez/lenghas etc

Re: Who's the Bride???

a girl who doesn't dresses up isn't a girl :D

Re: Who's the Bride???

Rah man guys turning to shaadis in jeans and t-shirt! Neva seen that b4 but hey it all happens in Pak i guess!

Re: Who's the Bride???

lol...no my bro was in usa not pak :D

Re: Who's the Bride???

ok but how old was your bro? although, at my wedding even the babies are wearing little tuxes or kurta pyjamas... so cute! i can't wait to see them! :)

yeah, i guess i just don't get it. its ridiculous! :p

Re: Who’s the Bride???

^ Yeah my nephew ruined it, he wore his polka dotted onesie instead of the sherwani my mom got him.. :naraz:

Re: Who's the Bride???

Its no suprised if anyone did not attend a wedding in Pakistan, maybe they don't have anyone there, but wedding in Pakistan is fun.

Re: Who’s the Bride???

LOL!!! smart ass :stuck_out_tongue:

Re: Who’s the Bride???

and the teddy bear sweatsuit with the diaper butt..blah… :emmy:

Re: Who's the Bride???

There are many people that show up to weddings in very, very simple outfits. These folks have their own belief that simple is elegant....and sometimes I agree. Maybe it depends on your mood too.

In Karachi I saw most guys dress down for weddings....even if it was their own cousin....and I was also amazed to see many women wearing cotton.....very, very expensive cotton....but cotton nonetheless.

starry eyes....my wedding lehnga is nothing special when compared to what is available in the market today......it's very, very, heavily embroidered and very densely covered....but nothing special....I will see if I can upload some pics.

I've been wanting to upload pics of the other lehngay and saris to show you guys anyway.....it's just a matter of finding the time to do it.

Re: Who’s the Bride???

hon, i wouldn’t mind wearing it if u were getting married in Pak but here it just looks really awkward to dress up in such a heavy dress… but don’t worry, i’ve got plenty other cool outfits to select from that i’ve yet to wear!

Re: Who's the Bride???

my bro was 19 and he wore proper shoes so i guess it didn't look all that bad after all :D
