Re: Who would you like to see as Pakistan's coach if Woolmer leaves?

Wouldn't it be a good idea if he works with the likes of Woolmer or Whatmore (if he gets the job) so that he gets more experience of working with a senior international side.

sure ! i wasnt implying that he shudnt be the next in line .. i just doubt that it wil happen knowing PCB politics
What I mean is he shouldn't be the next coach as he doesn't have the experience at this level. Therefore, to get the experience he needs more to develop himself and may be work with the senior team under a experienced coach.
Re: Who would you like to see as Pakistan's coach if Woolmer leaves?
Much will depend on the performance of Pakistani team in WC07, I dont think so any of the above mentioned coaches except Aaquib Javed has a chance, who rightly deserve the post.
Lets say Pakistan do reasonably well Woolmer wil ask twice the $$$ for his services, is it really worth it? honestly I dont think so.
Here PCB has a chance to hire or break the job into 3 tier, Coach)Aaquib or Dave), a bowling (sarfaraz) and fielding assistant(someone from Newzeland or Australia).
reason I said Sarfarz coz he has already yeild results with Shabbir, Yes he is a different person when he open his mouth in media but I think it would be worth it on a contract for a 10 months..etc.
Re: Who would you like to see as Pakistan's coach if Woolmer leaves?
you need to pick a coach depending on who your captain is going to be ..its very likely that inzamam will lose his job if pakistan does;nt do well in the world cup and younis khan will take over.i think some australian like tom moody or watmore could do well with younis khan.
Re: Who would you like to see as Pakistan's coach if Woolmer leaves?
I'd rather leave Imran alone, he is a legend and if gets involved in petty politics of PCB he might lose respect from his fans.... being a great player does not always translate to good coach.
