^^ Just like Dubya put a price on Bin Ladin's head without any Judicial process and I suppose in same vain he returned the favour and included all of Dubya’s cohorts. Sometimes people make threats just to highlight the situation. Everybody took notice. Questions were asked "Why Kofi Annan?" Some may see the link with the American Foreign Policy.
ravage Sorry, I can't match you in mis-spellings game, rather childish.
Assalam o Alaikum
On the statement that osama has no religious reason for ordering kofi anna killing....
In surah tauba it is stated that ..
Wa qatillu aaimatul kuffar
People.
Better question:
Is murder against civilians what God decrees?
I think not.
And yes.
Not is a good answer.
ASALAMU ALAIKUM WHAT DO YOU THINK OSAMA IS WRONG IF HE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTACKS I DONT THINK SO COZ WHAT WILL YOU SAY ABOUT AMERICA WHO IS THE BIGGEST SRONSER OF TERRORISM IN ISRAEL. THEY ARE KILLING US EVERYWHERE, LOOK AT THE OTHER SIDE OF YOUR MOUNTAINS THE MUSLIMS IN KASHMIR SUFFER WHO IS GONNA SOLVE THIS PROBLEM AND TELL ME WHO IS AMERICA THEN WHO IS SAYIN HE WANT TO CREATE "A NEW WORLD ORDER" WHAT DOES THAT MEAN. OSAMA IS A MAN WHO STOOD AGAINST CORRUPT REGIEME AND LOOK AT ANY MUSLIM NATION DO U THINK THEY ARE LIVING ACCORDING TO ISLAM...............

Nadia ji I don't think you have really read the link I had provided. I am going to paste the whole article below and highlight the important bits for your attention.
Former UN Chief: Bomb was Payback for Collusion with US
THE reason the United Nations headquarters in Baghdad were bombed is because the UN has been taken over by the US and turned into a *"dark joke" * and a *"malignant force", * according to one of the *UN's most internationally respected former leaders. *
*Denis Halliday, the former UN Assistant Secretary-General and UN Humanitarian Co-ordinator in Iraq, * attacked the *UN as an aggressive arm of US foreign policy * in the immediate aftermath of the truckbomb attack on the UN mission in Baghdad which killed at least 23 people - many of whom were Halliday's former friends and colleagues.
"The West sees the UN as a benign organization, but the sad reality in much of the world is that the UN is not seen as benign," said Halliday, *who was nominated for the 2001 Nobel Peace Prize. "The UN Security Council has been taken over and corrupted by the US and UK, particularly with regard to Iraq, Palestine and Israel. *
*"In Iraq, the UN imposed sustained sanctions that probably killed up to one million people. Children were dying of malnutrition and water-borne diseases. The US and UK bombed the infrastructure in 1991, destroying power, water and sewage systems against the Geneva Convention. It was a great crime against Iraq. *
"Thirteen years of sanctions made it impossible for Iraq to repair the damage. That is why we have such tremendous resentment and anger against the UN in Iraq. *There is a sense that the UN humiliated the Iraqi people and society. I would use the term genocide to define the use of sanctions against Iraq. Several million Iraqis are suffering cancers because of the use of depleted uranium shells. That's an atrocity. * Can you imagine the bitterness from all of this?
He warned that *"further collaboration" * between the *UN and the US and Britain * "would be *a disaster for the United Nations * as it would be sucked into supporting the illegal occupation of Iraq".
*"The UN has been drawn into being an arm of the US - a division of the state department. Kofi Annan was appointed and supported by the US and that has corrupted the independence of the UN. * The UN must move quickly to reform itself and improve the Security Council - *it must make clear that the UN and the US are not one and the same." *
Halliday said the US should withdraw from Iraqi within six months and allow free elections to be held. The UN could then start the work of helping the Iraqis rebuild their nation. "Bush has blown $75 billion on this war, so he should spend $75 billion on reconstruction - and the money shouldn't just go to Halliburton [an oil firm now operating in Iraqi which was once run by vice- president Dick Cheney] and the boys either. Once the US goes from Iraq, the terrorist will go as well.
"Bush and Blair have misled their countries into war. By invading Iraq and placing the US inside the Islamic world, America is inviting terrorists to come on the attack."
Halliday, who resigned from the UN in 1998, knows his comments will upset London, Washington and Kofi Annan, but he claims many senior UN figures feel the same anger.
Below I have extracted the Charge-Sheet from the above article.
1) UN has been taken over by the US and turned into a "dark joke" and a "malignant force",
2) . "The UN Security Council has been taken over and corrupted by the US and UK, particularly with regard to Iraq, Palestine and Israel.
3) "In Iraq, the UN imposed sustained sanctions that probably killed up to one million people. Children were dying of malnutrition and water-borne diseases. The US and UK bombed the infrastructure in 1991, destroying power, water and sewage systems against the Geneva Convention. It was a great crime against Iraq.
4) There is a sense that the UN humiliated the Iraqi people and society. I would use the term genocide to define the use of sanctions against Iraq. Several million Iraqis are suffering cancers because of the use of depleted uranium shells. That's an atrocity.
5) He warned that "further collaboration" between the UN and the US and Britain "would be a disaster for the United Nations as it would be sucked into supporting the illegal occupation of Iraq".
6) "The UN has been drawn into being an arm of the US - a division of the state department. Kofi Annan was appointed and supported by the US and that has corrupted the independence of the UN.
7) The UN must move quickly to reform itself and improve the Security Council - it must make clear that the UN and the US are not one and the same."
8) the UN as an aggressive arm of US foreign policy
All the above was said by Denis Halliday, the former UN Assistant Secretary-General and UN Humanitarian Co-ordinator in Iraq , one of the UN's most internationally respected former leaders.
And according to his estimates there is blood of at least up to one million people on United Nations imposed sanctions.
I think he is most qualified to know what is really going on in the UN. He was man of his principles as he resigned from his lucrative job in 1998.
If Kofi Annan had sense of dignity he could have resigned rather than be a tool for the USA. But then perks of the office do have the pulling power. Reading all the above about Kofi Annan from his one time colleague does show him to be a not very nice man.
I hope this shows you the way other people are thinking.
Re: Who does Osama think he is?
Why dont you start giving out gold for causes you deem worthy, that way-your both happy.

Ignorance.
Osama preys on the ignorance of those who are desperate for fulfillment. He gives them a meaning and a role and cloaks it all in the verbage of religion to make it more comforting to those dumb souls who buy into his garbage.
Does he usurp God's authority? Yes. He claims to dictate the will of God when he seemingly has not even the faintest connection with Him or His teachings.

I really like this comment.. who exactly do you think you're speaking with here? Aren't most people in this thread Muslim? Or is there some secret loophole which makes everyone who disagrees with you all kuffar? The person who you were responding to when you said that was not CNN, he is a muslim. How do you deal with that, following your saying that a single Muslim voice is acceptable? Here you have dozens, yet you still disbelieve.
all this stuff about osama pisses me offf! Osama doesn't even exsist. No muslim would do such a thing that he claims of doing, and even if you do such a thing, ur just a so called muslim. 9/11 was just a big consipiracy, and i hate the fact that ppl actualy believe osama is gona come out and give gold or rewards for killing of kofi anan or whoever. How the hell does he think hes gona Wire GOLD or Money to the person who does kill kofi anan.
Obviously there are people out there who are just tryin to give islam a bad name, and do posses such "sleeper" cell technology.....rest is all BS

What about the people who have met him? Btw, dont be surprised, alot of hardcore wahabis in Saudi Arabia share his sentiments too. I remember a Saudi counselor came to Pakistan, who once told us that it was a shame Pakistan has so many shias. Also, remember that famous journalist in Pakistan, who actually went ahead and met Osama uncle?

its Osmaa we are talking about not Kaiser Soze
Zainiest, i know who Denis Halliday is.
If Kofi Annan is considered a legitimate target, then let’s include the following individuals as well - i’m sure you won’t mind:
Deal?
Ophiolites, Was that question for me ?
Bao Bihari, Sorry please would you mind offering a translation for the above so i can understand exactly where you are coming from. Thank you in advance.
Nadia, aimma means leaders.
Bao, you're posting out of context. if this was a direct injunction, the prophet would have assasinated Abu Sufyaan et al in the thirteen years. Cite a SINGLE instance where the prophet had someone assasinated or attempted to do so because he/she was a leader of the Kuffaar (not during a battle, assasinated). Unless you are saying the prophet disobeyed direct injunctions from the Almighty, you will have to concede that this verse is not telling the whole story.
Furthermore, you have in the past insisted that things should not be taken literally. Given that it can also mean "record books" and "mothers", as you have previously insisted regarding this exact word, perhaps even your very limited justification is unclear as to what exactly we should be aiming for, especially in the absence of context.
At any rate, you should avoid making a habit of posting snippets of verses from which gauging the context is impossible.
looks like idiot Osama has finally found a gold mine in his desperate search for shelter..

Well if U.N. is an arm of the U.S......
Why is that U.S. did not have U.N. approval for war on Iraq?
Please explain.
Nadia Then do you agree or trust what he (Denis Halliday) has said of Kofi Annan. He has held UN under the leadership of Kofi Annan responsible for the deaths of million Iraqis and potential death of several million cancer sufferers.
Did Kofi Annan protest, speak out or resign from his post? No!
I am more than happy to make a deal with you but I have a problem, I want more heads to roll. The heads of the whole lot of Muslim rulers from Morocco to Tajikistan. You have settled for only 4 whereas I am in favour of 40+!
Did any of these Muslim rulers make a whimper of protest against the above atrocities, or mistreat of Iraqi prisoners? Though they were heard loud and clear protesting at the tragic execution of Nick Berg.
Now, do you agree to my deal?
No, I won’t take you as an anti-Arab; in fact what you suggest is a big favour the Arab nation.
I am sure you must be aware that Dubya had given that infamous statement that “You are with us or against us” ; Well I’ll feel very uncomfortable standing behind him and will never take this option.
BTW, nice pictures of your university. My university always seemed to be overflowing with people!
ravage Allow me to give you the reference on behalf of Bao Bihari, read the following hadith.
*Jabir, may Allah be pleased with him, reported: *
*The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: Who will kill Ka’b bin Al-Ashraf? He has maligned Allah, the Exalted, and His Messenger. Muhammad bin Maslamah said: Messenger of Allah, do you wish that I should kill him? He said: Yes. He said: Permit me to talk (to him in the way I deem fit). He said: Talk (as you like). So, Muhammad bin Maslamah came to Ka’b and talked to him, referred to the old friendship between them and said: This man (i.e. the Holy Prophet) has made up his mind to collect Charity (from us) and this has put us to a great hardship. When he heard this, Ka’b said: By Allah, you will be put to more trouble by him. Muhammad bin Maslamah said: No doubt, now we have become his followers and we do not like to forsake him until we see what turn his affairs will take. I want that you should give me a loan. He said: What will you mortgage? He said: What do you want? He said: Pledge me your women. He said: You are the most handsome of the Arabs; should we pledge our women to you? He said: Pledge me your children. He said: The son of one of us may abuse us saying that he was pledged for two wasqs of dates, but we can pledge you (our) weapons. He said: All right. Then Muhammad bin Maslamah promised that he would come to him with Al-Harith; Abu 'Abs bin Jabr and 'Abbad bin Bishr. So they came and called upon him at night. He came down to them. Sufyan says that all the narrators except 'Amr have stated that his wife said: I hear a voice which sounds like the voice of murder. He said: It is only Muhammad bin Maslamah, his foster-brother and Abu Na’ilah. When a man of dignity is called at night even if to be pierced with a spear, he should respond to the call. Muhammad said to his companions: As he comes down, I will extend my hands towards his head and when I hold him fast, you should do your job. So when he came down and he was holding his cloak under his arm, they said to him: We sense from you a very fine smell. He said: Yes, I have with me a mistress who is the most scented of the women of Arabia. He said: Allow me to smell (the scent on your head). He said: Yes, you may smell. So he caught it and smelt. Then he said: Allow me to do so (once again). He then held his head fast and said to his companions: Do your job. And they killed him. *

AvgAmericanGirl The French, the Russians and the Chinese in the Security Council had their own ‘national interests’ to care of and did not allow USA and UK to have their cake and eat it as well without sharing the spoils with them.
