Re: Who are your Muslim heroes?

One person who inspired me to study Islam was my grandfather who once said to me, that (when he said it) up until now, in every generation of ours there has been a scholar(s) of Islam and an imaam of the community, and in this generation its your father and the next generation is yours. and he said that i dont want one single generation till the day of judgement where there isnt a scholar in any of my generations / family. this inspired me to study islam out of us four brothers.

and another person who inspires me is my uncle who recently was killed at the marriot hotel in islamabad, that no matter how much harm or danger there is, never to give up and keep tryingagain and again, and you wil be rewarded greatly in this world and in the hereafter.

Re: Who are your Muslim heroes?

Berke Khan.

If you read about what Berke Khan did you'll be amazed at how such an important person has been so quickly forgetting.

And how much credit arabs got for defeating the Mongols whereas they would most likely have been crushed without Berke Khan.

Re: Who are your Muslim heroes?

Re: Who are your Muslim heroes?

I would like to add someone from the recent past.

Malcolm-X
Who has inspired many to come to and understand Islaam, and his biography opened the door to many African Americans, to the Islamic faith.

"You can't separate peace from freedom because no one can be at peace unless he has his freedom." -Malcolm X

Me on the other hand, it was the Biography of the prophet Muhammad (pbuh) ''the sealed necter'', that motivated me to practise my religion and name my youngest son Muhammad.
