Who are these people?

Re: Who are these people?

Video evidence is a very weak evidence. People can be taken as anyone else very easily on TV footages.

Anyway. I think it is time to look at the repurcussions of that horrible day. Let's hope there are lessons learned by relevant authorities and different sections of population.

Re: Who are these people?

They burnt alive 7 people in the KFC next to Imam Bargh when a bomb exploded at NIPA in 2004 or 2005.

Re: Who are these people?

But at the same time, you should realize that Shias have been the main target of religious terroism in this country since 1988.

Not only in this country, but in Iran, Bahrain, Iraq, Aghanistan and Pakistan the shia causaulties since 1980 at least number 500,000.

For everyone's information, the Karachi's chemical wholesale market is just next to the city court which is on M A Jinnah Road - a furlong away from the Bolton Market.

In 1984, on Aushra day, shias burnt many people alive in shops at Grumandir in retalliation to buring of their mosques in Liaquatabad.

Re: Who are these people?

Looks like the police are taking action. 25 people arrested, and looted items recovered from their posessions. What’s worse though, is that their families come out to support them and are holding demonstrations outside the police station!

25 held in connection with Karachi arson: police

Don’t talk about these senseless people, they arrested such terrorists over looting and arson charges after Benazir’s assassination but all of them were later freed by the terrorist regime of Pakistan.
There were not just 25 terrorists looting, plundering and setting fire to properties of Ahlus Sunnah community, it was a mob.

Re: Who are these people?

O Paaee, is it written on proerty Ahle-Sunnah or Ahle Tashi

Actually yes; the Memon community in Boulton Market is Ahlus Sunnah by majority, then Light House Market Landa Bazar is majorly owned by Pashtoons who are also Ahlus Sunnah.

And by the way these arrests have been made in some particular areas:

Re: Who are these people?

Please also put the vital dialogs of Mustafa Kamal here.
Those were shown again in Capital talk today.

Mustafa Kamal has no credibility, he's an MQM thug.

You are saying as if it is well known fact for everyone to know what chemicals to use for fire.

I don’t know about it, but it is possible. This is why it is necessary to stop ALL sources of violence from the society, and not look at sectarian side of conflict alone.

Violence against any section of society will eventually engulf the whole of society. This is simple lesson that we Pakistanis still haven’t learned yet.

It is sad that people have absolutely no doubt on police arresting people for arson, but everyone is refusing to believe in police when it comes to person who got arrested for the actual bomb blast.
What does it show? See comments in the following thread.
http://www.paklinks.com/gs/pakistan-affairs/386761-karachi-blast-mastermind-arrested.html

Ahle Sunnat's shops are majority owned almost EVERYWHERE in the country in general and Karachi in particular.
It's amazing to see people giving this conflict a sectarian color when it is not.

Who stopped police from taking action against the looters of "Ahle Sunnat's" shops?

Re: Who are these people?

I think the first says it all. Until we MUSLIMS learn to live among selves in peace and harmony this will continue to happen. Divide and rule formula will be keep on implementing by the people and nations who are not friends of Pakistan.

Lastly religion and politics are like oil and water...cannot be mixed and shouldnt be mixed. The developed countries have learnt this and hence called developed.

No, the root cause of such stupid nonsense in Karachi is processions as of Ashura and Rabi al Awwal. Sectarianism has spread like a cancer in Muslim countries. It's used to show the political power of sects. There's no need of such Aashura processions, as they are more likely to cause damage to the public the way they did on this Aashura. Even the traders whose businesses have been torched by 'mourners' are demanding on media channels that such processions (juloos) must be banned on M A Jinnah Road, as this kind of terrorist arson attack is not the first one Karachi city has witnessed.
If such Muharram processions are not seen in Iran, then why they chose Pakistan?
I say, not only this but processions on Rabi al Awwal should also be banned, because they cause deaths of innocent lives while Mullas remain safe.
Any enemy of Pakistan may carry out such terrorist act upon civilians that leads to 'mourners' burning everything they see of the opposite sect.

Actually this is the duty of state not to be blackmailed by religious extremists who use the excuse of religion for showing their political strengths. Pakistan is at war with itself, the whole country is under attack by suicide bombers and our own security forces, why the hell government allowed such processions in the heart of Karachi? Just ban these religious extremists, if they want to practise their religion, why the heck occupy main streets, go worship in your mosques or temples. This not religion, this is only terrorism and evil when you torch properties of innocent people who in no way harmed you.

Actually this is not just first time in Karachi. When Allama Hassan Turbai was assassinated by a Bengali suicide bomber, mourners who were attending the funeral burnt shops in a row along University Road. Earlier and later, arson attacks were always seen by a particular group in Karachi, hell why?

Re: Who are these people?

To say that it was mourners who went on looting rampage is mere speculation. It could have been anyone, including kharijis themselves.

Besides, in every incident, the major blame of violence rests on people who attacked others in the first place. That is the root cause of violence in the law of any country.

And even a bigger question is that where was the police?
And if police did not interfere then it shares most blame for the loss of property.

Since police in Sindh is under control of the provincial government, it looks to me that interior minister Zulfiqar Mirza stopped the police only because shops that were being burnt were in Karachi, and not in Ratto Dayro or Larkana. The same thing is happening with Lyari gangsters on shooting rampages throughout the city, and police doing absolutely nothing to stop the violence.
As much as anyone hates MQM, we should not allow killing of any person in the country.

"The terrorists of Lyari gang war and other criminal groups have continued to kidnap and kill the innocent activist of the MQM. While some elements of the provincial government are patrioinsing these elements,” it said.

If anyone has doubts about Zulfiqar Mirza’s thinking then one should see what he planned to do when BB was murdered.

The root cause is the PEOPLE who attacked peaceful civilians. The root cause is the cult’s hateful ideology which says that it is ok to kill common people if they don’t agree with the cult.

Even if processions are stopped, these terrorists will kill people in the mosques and their houses. Would you then say that going to mosque is the root cause of problem? Would you then say that since people are being killed in the homes, therefore they should start living on streets?

Just a day later, there was a major blast in Lakki Marwat during volley ball match.
Would you now call volley ball matches to be the root cause of this “stupid nonsense”?

Identity of people who burned shops is unknown. Everything is based on speculation alone.

It is interesting to see that you consider people torching properties to be non-Muslims, but don’t condemn people who actually started the violence by killings tens of innocent people.
These khariji terrorists have killed thousands of Pakistanis across the country but instead of calling that cult’s actions unIslamic, you laud them by saying that they are fighting “crusaders”. Here you conveniently ignore the Taliban’s khariji fasaad against Muslims of Afghanistan before American invasion!
Shows the khariji fasadi mentality.

Torching properties is very common in Pakistan after any incident.
Here are a few examples. Let me know if you need more examples.
