It was Zard Dopehar by Piplya Shahid Nadeem.. It was not banned, but after this character, Shuja'at Hashmi could not be seen on TV screen in NS rule :p
Re: Who are the target viewers of Pakistani dramas
Kazim Pasha did shooting of 'Sham se Pehle' in Sindh as well, while characters wearing Ajrak were delivering dialogues in Punjabi style Urdu. Couldn't highlight where the story belonged. Sindh, Southern Punjab or some village near Karachi, where they speak Punjabi.
i watched shaam se pehle in 1999 when it was firstly on-aired though i dont remember fully but i think it was on sindh culture, will watch it again on youtube.
Re: Who are the target viewers of Pakistani dramas
watch it on youtube.. last episodes are available. Shahid nadeem used to get free hand during PPP’s governments. In PPP’s first tenure, he was able to put his hands on controversial Hudood Ordinance in ‘Neele Hath’ and this Zard Dopehar and in second tenure he came up with open dialogues about family planning in ‘Janjaal Poora’
Re: Who are the target viewers of Pakistani dramas
Pakistani writers directors and producers are fighting with indian dramas. Instead of joing hands against this invasion they joind the bandwagon.I am not against indian dramas in Pakistan but like to see balance in programing.
Re: Who are the target viewers of Pakistani dramas
air time ka pet bharna hai… Indian channels also do pet bharo exercise, but they never fill their slots with Pakistani programs. Almost all channels in Pakistan are showing C_D_E grade Indian stuff. India’s own television media is suffering from lack of issue based projects. There are lot of problems in Indian society, but channels like Star, Sony, Zee and big production house like Balaji love to talk about 500 crore offer for breaking a marriage
Re: Who are the target viewers of Pakistani dramas
yes aur majboori bhi hai paki dramas se profit nahn ho raha so indian dramas lagane padte hain taake commercials se profit double triple ho, geo ne to aik naya channel khol liya hai geo kahani…
Re: Who are the target viewers of Pakistani dramas
yes i agree air time.... thats the reason there is breaking news every 7th minute....which occupy your screen for next 5 mins....after 6th min ohh its time for headline news...same breaking news but this time with commercials.
btw all the news channels r making real life issue dramas.... mere kahani mere zubani, jurm bolta hai and what not.
Re: Who are the target viewers of Pakistani dramas
i say the reason behind these lovy dovy shaq saay bharpoor dramon ka reason mobile phones kay night packages" hain.
inn night packages nay adhi saay zyada qoom ko ashiq bana diya hai...aab jo bikta hai wohi milta hai bhai.
Re: Who are the target viewers of Pakistani dramas
do cheezen sab se ziada bikti hain… ek controversy wo to khoob bechi ja rahi hai. Other one they are trying their hard to sell, but Mullah Brigade ka khatra hai inn channels ko
Re: Who are the target viewers of Pakistani dramas
i would like to see team of teen bata teen and bana news working togather on seriously funny drama projects. these guys can make difference but kia karain....talab main rah karr magarmach......
Re: Who are the target viewers of Pakistani dramas

Shoaib Hashmi’s “Baleela” from 70s was also banned after only 2-3 episodes.
In Zard Dopeher, if Shujat Hashmi was portrayed as NS, then Madiha Gohar was portrayed as BB. It was shown that the same kingmakers were behind both of them. Madiha Gohar was also shaking hands with Anwar Sajjad at the end, going to be launched as their next candidate. Also the role of Chief (Army Chief) was very cleverly created.
