For many years Indian hindus, convert their first born son or one of their sons to Sikhism. You are more than welcome to ask your friend Amanpreet.

I am aware that some Punjabi Hindu Khatris (not Indian Hindus in general) brought up their first born sons as Sikh because they saw Sikhs as a milliatry wing of Hinduism (but Sikhs themselves don’t see themselves as such).

Sikhism, jainism, buddhism have reformed curruption that grew in the hinduism, but all believe in birth and rebirth and One God. Just like un-curruputed Hinduism.

Sikhism and Buddhism don’t see themselves as reformed versions of Hinduism, neither Sikhism nor Buddhism believe in any of the Hindu scriptures and they condemn many practices deeply rooted in Hindu scripture.
