We all are born to a religion by birth not by choice, what if we had the right to choose a religion besides our current religion what it would be
Let’s start with me
My Religion: Hindu
I choose: Christianity
Reason: its more liberal then others

Re: Which Religion you would choose.
i would still pick islam, it makes more sense to me than any other. But lets say for instance i was born some in some other religion, i would prolly pick budhism, i love their how they are so peaceful and kind people. but Islam still would be my first choice.
Re: Which Religion you would choose.
Born Muslims and if was not then even would have converted to Islam..
Reason: nothing make more sense to the right path to the obedience of Allah and to the path of getting "prospectively" through the examination of this world.
Re: Which Religion you would choose.
Born Muslim... end of!
If i had been born without a faith i would have lived and died for whichever cause i believed was best.... right now it's still Islam and always will be.
Re: Which Religion you would choose.
^ I am sure you wouldn't have converted if you WERE born into another religion. No religion makes sense in its entirety. No religion is superior than another because they are all man-made and ARE time bound no matter what anybody says. Maybe Islam is the best for you because that's the only religion you have known all your life.
P.S. Nevermind you edited your post.
Re: Which Religion you would choose.
^ I am certian i would not have… Frankly no other faith has a Martial and artistic heritage that can match that of Islam considering it is younger than Judaism and Christianity…
You forget that if history was to keep a scorecard the achievments of Muslims who were religous far outwiegh those who were not and followers of other faiths.
Besides my ancestors were the most savage of humans and if they accepted Islam after being awed by it who the hell am i to say otherwise…
No self respecting worshipper of Gok Tengri, would have converted to Islam if for the fact that Tengri was the same God of the first Muslims… if you read earlier versions of the Koran in Turkic the name Allah is translated as Tengri… ![]()
Umm, are you serious?
Interesting.
Re: Which Religion you would choose.
Yes so is the fact… that despite all the courage of fanatical sword weilding Muslims, the truth is that most of the faith was spread through love and teachings of peace.
History will tell us how many great conquerors spread the message to lands via the sword.
But actually lands where that happened like for example Spain which was taken quite litrally at swordpoint were later lost to the swordpoint too… ![]()
The truth is that Islam spread through it’s teachings of simplicity and peace… hence why in regions like central Asia, barbarians who would have been more than a match for any Muslim army accepted Islam out of choice… same goes for many other parts of the world too like southern India… wich saw Islam long before any invading Muslim armies came from the north… becuase Islam arrived there through trade and commerce… just as it did in China and the rest of SE Asia.
Re: Which Religion you would choose.
^LOL..OK. Whatever rocks your boat!
I am glad you didn't say any scientific, non political achievements.
Re: Which Religion you would choose.
Nobody is born a Muslim. =)
anyway I would still be Muslim :p fastest growing religion in the world yooooo!
Re: Which Religion you would choose.
*miss noland * interesting thought process; just curious what religion do you practice?
According to islamic teachings, everyone is born a “Muslim”. =)
1). Well the term “Allah” would be translated as “The God” and the term “Tengri” would be translated as “God”. So yeah…
2). The pre-Islamic Arabs called their Moon God “Allah”, and the pre-Islamic Turks and Mongols called their Sky God “Tengri”.
Mongols and Turks also converted to Buddhism, Christianity and Judaism, not only Islam.
The famous Ashkenazi Jews are originally from Khazaria, which was a Kingdom located in Eurasia. They were semi-nomadic Turks who converted to Judaism.
Re: Which Religion you would choose.
I would choose Islam ... it is because it is clearly not a man-made religion, nor are it's features affected by the whims of men. The others are ... Dogma-less orders or those that claim to be non-organised religions.
Allah or God is something my heart tells me is The Chaotic Order. The Infinite Oneness. The Destructive Beautiful.
Religion comes a means for us to align with that by choice.
Let's assume that tomorrow Allah (SWT) reveals Himself as though we see Him. Will we even have a choice left? Our bodies and minds will be drawn into submission. We will become insanely annihilated in intoxicated worship because that will be our disposition. Religion is the collective act of what we would do if we could see God.
Re: Which Religion you would choose.
Hinduism because it lets me think freely and exercise my thoughts. It doesn't constrain me by ritual or force me to believe something if i don't see or accept the reasoning. It also lets me live in peace with non-Hindus.
Re: Which Religion you would choose.
I was born into Christianity, and I have chosen Islam.
It made more sense coz there is only ONE Quran, there aren't any different versions of it like the Bible, and no one has so far tried to change the word of Allah like the Popes do.
I have no interest listening to this Mullah.
I would like to read YOUR opinion.
So what are people by birth according to your version of Islam? Are they atheist?
I have no interest in replying to you.
Or maybe you don't have an own opinion. :(
Anyway, you can never know what you might have become If you weren't already born into a family who claims to be Muslims.
Congrats to everyone in this thread who chose Islam.
Re: Which Religion you would choose.
religious and politics discussions are always gonna lead to tough arguments.
