Since atheists are basically from Christian countries, therefore its natural for them to detest Islam the most.

I get you. For the people of the world this is still a miracle (even if its from Allah) as this is something unusual. If you tell an atheist about Meraj he will start evaluating the incident using science (like Einstein's equations E=mC2). The Big bang theory would give you a hint how they believe humans were created. If according to them they were created out of no where, then there's no concept of life after death.
well, Science and atheism is not a same things. A scientist would be mcuh more humble then atheist. Some fanatic atheist even try to prove the non-existence of God, which is not possible logically.

desire of having liberty to do whatever one wants. do you think if some atheist got enligtenment of existence of God , he will become 24 hrs worshiper? NO. But the way they ask such questions is as if they want to become a saint and only need a proof first.

No it's natural for atheists to detest their host religion - Christianity. Many atheists criticised their religion using what they saw to be good in Islam. But they still didn't become Muslim.
I think atheists dislike Christianity because it betrays reason ... and they dislike Islam because it shows them up for what they really are ... biased.

There are some verses in Holy Quran that give the sign of big bang, but atheists dont consider any statement from religious scripture to approve of dissapprove the eixistence of God.
howerver, If you are going to prove the non-existence of anything then you must know the atributes of that thing. how come atheist know the atributes of God?

question arises what makes people detest religions? lack of information or the way a particular aspect of religion they experience.
Followers of religion.
Really, there's an emerging trend within modern atheism to indulge in verbal warfare with religious people or attack religion for just sake of it. Most atheists have problem with certain types of followers of religion than religion itself.

Islam has an image problem. I feel Islam is the most misunderstood religion.

Christianity is a dying religion, at least in Europe, while Islam is still considered the fastest growing religion.

I agree. Muslim scientists did contributed a lot from 8th to 15th century in the field of scientific research. West may deny their contribution, but some of their writers are convinced that Muslim scientist speed up the process of research and if there were no Muslim scientist, the Industrial revolution would have delayed for several centuries. Now these same Muslim scientists were Islamic jurisprudence scholars as well, which proves that science is not a specific domain of atheists. If you simply go through the translation of Quran, there are hundreds of verses which asks you ponder over universe and creation of God.
After going through these verses, one can easily conclude that Religion is not inception of irrational thinking, its invitation to rational thinking.

denial is the biggest detestation (specially when its done without knowing the basic premise of a particular religion).

denial is the biggest detestation (specially when its done without knowing the basic premise of a particular religion).
In that case, our definition of detest varies.
Wilful denial is a different matter. For example, when one knows minorities are discriminated against, and when denies it. One can be rightly said to detest minorities.
When one knows secular not same as atheist, but one willfuly denies this, one can be said to detest secularist.
Just my two cents. You are free to deny - willfully or otherwise.
