he is not saying that Talibans are producing laptops. He is saying that chamman broder is haven for smugglers. Quetta is full of smuggled goods from Iran and Afghanistan. Its recent news that millions of gallons of smuggled patrol and diesel through Baluchistan borders entered Pakistan.
ya but no laptops, the list of smuggled items are like this
1) Vehicles
2) Utensils ( specially from Iran)
3) Soap and Shampoos
4) Cloth ( most of it produced in Faislabad/Karachi with stamps of China and Japan)
5) Electronics and Toys ( most of it China made, most of them are smuggled from UAE)
6) Liquor and Drugs
Laptop and computer accessories have no duty in Pakistan, you can call in a container and only pay the logistics....and the golden rule for smuggling is to trade the product which have high taxation or prohibited in a particular country

I am not sure yaar. All I am saying that if India is doing it then India is making the biggest mistake of her life. Its like apnay paa'oon pe khud khulaRa marna.
I guess my sarcasm was lost on people. Afghans do not have money to feed their families. So in the 1980s and 1990s where would they get money for laptops. If they were smuggled, they would have to come from a location where laptops were common. That would not be Iran or Afghanistan or any of the CIS countries due to the poverty in those countries. Basic food is not available where could they smuggle in Laptops from. They would need to get them from the Middle East or Turkey. Hell even Europe but it would be near impossible to get it to Afghanistan because it is landlocked.
Please for the love of Allah think logically people.
They could be coming from Iran or Russian countries.

yawn You can't prove something that does not exist. However cars I do agree with. It is a documented fact.
actually i once bought one from Qandhar ( when taliban were in power), they delivered it to Lahore... it was not a good deal as i had to pay the custom when Mushy took over... :(

Why? Which car was it? Custom officials are mostly on the lookout for larger cars like landcruiser/pajero and you can use a car like corolla or civic with relatively little risk.\
And BTW, I swear I've seen smuggled laptops being sold in Chamman. If you don't want to believe it, don't. Ur choice.

^^ The topic has been discussed, as i told you, these terrorists are growing in the fields? other than this i have not found any logical conclusion for them to get enough ammu to fight an army... remember they are using these weapons to fight an army.. they have given tough time to Pakistani army.. so this is a fact that they are getting weapons... but we do not want to believe that any enemy of Pakistan is involved then only one conclusion is left... they grow it....

Of course Pakistanis themselves are angels. It is impossible that elements from withing Pakistan are earning billions supplying weapons to the Taliban.

u r right, i got my self Land Cruiser... and friend of mine bought himself 2.0D and he got away with that...
it is possible that these laptops are sold there, but they can't be smuggled...

Russia, Iran, India and from other countries in which most of the containers are unloaded at Karachi and are then routed to Afghanistan or in Pakistan. Those containers are then listed as "lost".

I think they are RAW agents.
This market is only big enough to supply materials for celebrations like childbirth, weddings and occasional tribal conflicts. Certainly not big enough to sustain an 'onslaught' from NATO and Pakistani military.
