Where are they now?????

Re: Where are they now?????

Ok. I posted a long reply to the above, but unfortunately it got wiped off. And now I rather not reply again.
So be happy. No reply from me.

Re: Where are they now?????

good point. and the same goes for any and every party. Where do they get funding from? You really think that PPP landlords support the party from their own funds or its people's tax money. Is it the same for PML and others? I am not justifying bhatta or what not, but whether its bhatta or using govt money to build palaces, its still the money of people of Pakistan.

Plus beleive it or not, I have seen from own eyes ladies taking their gold bangles and earings off and putting them in a donation box of MQM during their rallies. Off course no one is going to believe it and someone on this forum would call it a scam or lie or something but it is true

Re: Where are they now?????

^ TLK, please read next paragraph of my post you quoted.

Re: Where are they now?????

No insult to Imran intended, but 14 years old party cannot be called a new party. MQM started in 1984 and in 1988 won almost all seats from Karachi and Hyderabad for both MNA and MPA. that is only 4 years later. PPP was founded in 1967 and in 1971 Bhutto was the president of Pakistan. That is also 4 years later. I suggest that we stop touting about how 'NEW' PTI is and wake up and smell the reality.

Imran popularity is increasing while MQM went down! Could you show me a poll to prove that or its just 'pulled out of thin air' kind of claim?

Farooq sattar almost lost? What does almost lost mean? That means that he still won.

Re: Where are they now???

Apologize for that. I missed that. Thanks. I said pretty much the same that you said but you said it better :k:

Re: Where are they now?????

When I said people wanting to make Karachi a village then I did not mean to say that it will be done on purpose. It was because of the ignorance Karachi receive at the hands of provincial and federal governments.
Look at Sindh. For example, Larkana is still a big village. Lyari is still full of gangsters and lawlessness. If PPP can not do anything for its own base then it won't do it for Karachi either, which does not belong to it politically.

Re: Where are they now?????

To me this thread ended after this post - :) here who doesn't know Spock's Biasness against Karachittes :)

Re: Where are they now?????

  • How is it related to what MQM did to help develop the city's infrastructure?
  • One of the reasons I want Altaf out is precisely that statement he made about VCR and KK's. But you need to understand why he said that. Remember Qasba colony tragedy and also Pakka Qila tragedy etc. So there was a reason he came to that conclusion, but I say that regardless of the threat, calling to pick up arms (even for self-defense) was not right. Violence can never be the answer to anything. And especially it was totally unsuited for MQM because it represented the most educated people of all the parties.
  • Are you calling me MQM 'loyalist'? Just because I tried to clear some misconceptions you have developed against the party? Like I said, I want Altaf out. Do you think MQM will consider me its 'loyalist'?

The only reason you are calling me MQM loyalist is that I give the credit where it is due. But that does not mean that I agree with all their policies.

Re: Where are they now?????

lets not remember the times when MQM workers got killed cause that topic is wastage for the intellects.

Lets only remember the time when they picked up the guns. now we are talking

Re: Where are they now?????

haha! its obvious how the mqm supporters react when these 'hard' facts by reputable sources are presented to them!

Dept of State is lying, Jane's is lying, Canadian Courts are lying, UNHCR is lying, every other party of Pakistan is lying, The Economist is biased... Brilliant!

Re: Where are they now?????

So it means that other cities of Sindh are being ignored with all developmental efforts concentrated in Karachi.

Please stop crying. Provide some substance, at least developmental budget of Karachi vis-a-vis other cities of Sindh and Pakistan during MQM's rule. I would agree with you if it is disproportionately small considering Karachi's population or area. Given the size of the budget, any political party would have performed at least equally in terms of development in the city and much better in terms of controlling law and order.

The point just being, and you have to agree with it, that MQM has been using violence for its purposes and we cannot expect improvement in law and order untill they and other parties disarm and it is the responsibility of ruling parties to get that done.

Re: Where are they now?????

If anyone would say that then he won't be called an "MQM supporter". So you are never going to find such a person. What are you talking about?

... Or by "MQM supporter" did you mean an 'Urdu speaker'? (I hope not).

Remember that MQM currently does not just represent Urdu speakers. And it is trying to include people from all over the country. I read recently that Sarfaraz Nawaz joined the party too?!

Re: Where are they now?????

So Karachi belongs to the MQM? p.s. arent you that banned dude aliyish? You actually used to claim Altaf Hussain was a charismatic leader, enough said LOL!

Re: Where are they now?????

That's true. Birds of a feather flock together. Muzna can only find a person like Spock to agree with. The same person whose almost every post is against MQM, Altaf Hussain, Musharraf, Karachi, etc.

Re: Where are they now?????

So the anyone who criticizes Altaf Bhai and his band of terrorists is against Karachi? lol What good would it do to criticize a piece of land? Seriously, you shouldn't get a raise the next time altaf bhai evaluates your job performance.

Re: Where are they now?????

So if you were to vote b/w a convicted murder/rapist, and a national hero (who by the way is the only honest leader we have) you'd still vote for Quaid-e-Azam Altaf Bhai?

Re: Where are they now?????

.

Re: Where are they now?????

lol sarafaraz nawaz joining the mqm... sleazebags do belong together...

Re: Where are they now?????

You know, this is exactly how Zia put his refrendum in 1984. The question asked in the referendum was whether the people of Pakistan wanted Islamic law enforced in the country. If they say yes, by default they are saying yes to Zia.

By saying yes to an honest person, your question just forces Imran in the picture. Pretty Zia like manipulation, I must say.

Re: Where are they now?????

Poor example, a referendum isnt a constitutional or a legal election, it was a martial law hooplah.
