Shazzy, people always want what they don’t have:
Darkies want to be whiter, so they bleach
Whities want to be darker… so they tan
Curly haired chicks want to have poker straight hair, so they straighten their hair
Straight haired girls want curly hair, so they use curling irons…
Etc, and so forth.
It’s kinda funny actually, as when i was younger, i never really mixed in the asian crowds, cos they thought i was not “like them”…so i used to dye my hair black, use brown lenses, and tan myself just to “fit in”…but then they used to dye their hair lighter, bleach their skin, and wear blue contacts…
Anyway, i still (fake) tan my skin :)… pale skin makes you look ill…
