Also, if I remember correctly Express Tribune did an article on the porn industry in Pakistan and spoke to directors and actors. Names were withheld but it happens. And dont forget the stage shows and mujras. I think everyone remembers Nargis's infamous nip-slip.

You are an embarrassment, and a complete psycho. I get being pissed and extremely shocked/horrified/angry. But throwing acid? Physical harm? WTF? You need help. I would rather have a daughter who did Tahmeena-esque things than to have one whose thought-pattern was like yours. I’m seriously disturbed. It’s people like you who give Islam and muslims a bad name. I dont see where your logic when when you think glamour modeling is wrong but dont see the wrong in killing/harming someone.

The question posed was about your child and your responsibility. Also, there is a blogpost a Pakistani historian did on erotic art & photography of Pakistan on the blog lilink edited* (just search for it on your own, not going to link it for obvious reasons)[/li]

It’s not explicit but it does go into the world of that part of art and kind of shocking and fascinating that people, esp. in Pakistan. There was one where a couple took photographs of each other in an “Artsy” way and published them anonymously.

Uh, duh. That is exactly what I'm saying and you need help if you think otherwise. Murder is the worst thing you can do, as a Muslim especially. Tahmeena is NOT causing harm to anyone. Cutting off the wrist and stoning are punishments within Islam but if you look at the ENTIRE text rather than interpreting for your own convenience you’ll see that these punishments are not valid if the person is to repent. Either way, murder is THE biggest sin in Islam ( murder of one innocent person is equivalent to killing all of humanity) and showing your body is, no doubt a sin, but murder ranks much higher. My point was that muslims get so jizbaati and forget logic and react in ways much worse in the ranking of sins within Islam.

I am not kicking her out of the house so she is "out of my immediate world". I honestly dont know what I would do, I would be traumatized and horrified, and would feel like I failed big time as a parent but would I beat her up or do anything of the sort? No. And like Sara said, anyone who goes into that kind of industry has to have some kind of inner turmoil that built up over years which led to her insanely low self-esteem so therapy would be the next option all while guiding her towards religion and Islam. I unfortunately am not religious any longer but religion does work wonders in fixing a lot of things. But basically, I am not giving up on the kid no matter how far they have gone because you can always do something as their parent.

@Sara516 I totally agree with you. It is far scarier. All these are roads towards the degregation of the world in general. At least we should be responsible for our own children and not disown them and shove them out, we should do all in our power to stop them from wrong doing.

If you are away from religion in general, then let me tell you that the first thing you do when a person steals is that you are supposed to chop off the hand. No questions asked. After that they are absolved from the crime. You dont wait around for them to repent. IMO that would not be something I try. But as someone else pointed out, it takes a long long road to get to the point where you are so disrespectful towards yourself that you walk around like this girl and flaunt it openly. Gentle tactics are no longer whats required in handling. Extreme actions, extreme measures.
