@Sara516 I totally agree with you. It is far scarier. All these are roads towards the degregation of the world in general. At least we should be responsible for our own children and not disown them and shove them out, we should do all in our power to stop them from wrong doing.

...But not by means such as these. Change her mentality, you cant hover over her head and make choices for her the rest of your life. That is my point. There is something missing and it isn't an authoritarian figure, it's serious help that she needs. You aren't really fixing the problem if you get rid of things that made her successful in that industry.
@M_was_here I really respect your opinions and posts in general. If you are away from religion in general, then let me tell you that the first thing you do when a person steals is that you are supposed to chop off the hand. No questions asked. After that they are absolved from the crime. You dont wait around for them to repent. IMO that would not be something I try. But as someone else pointed out, it takes a long long road to get to the point where you are so disrespectful towards yourself that you walk around like this girl and flaunt it openly. Gentle tactics are no longer whats required in handling. Extreme actions, extreme measures.
That is going to extremes. I think the point of that even being made a part of Islam was to show what a big sin theft is in Islam and not to be taken so literally. But you have a different thought pattern, which isn't very logical, IMO. We can agree to disagree and leave it at that.

honestly i dont think i would accept it there is just something weird abot knowing tha your child is being perved over by men its just a little to uncomfortable for my liking.

She has had a massive-fail kism ki boob job. She's too skinny to carry those things, you can clearly see the silicone bulging out which means it was a very cheap kind of a boob job.

I would not be okay with it simply because I expect my kids to be a lot smarter than just wanting to pick a career that doesn't let them use their brains. What's the fun in that? I'd want my kids to pick more intelligent professions than this. I have no problem with someone being a glamour model but at the same time I wouldn't expect them to be highly intelligent. What I find really amusing is all these bollywood/mujra watching folks who would go bonkers if their own daughter chose to become a part of something similar. Hypocrites.
Btw, that was a bad analogy to use, girlphrand! Nobody likes to side with extremes- be it terrorism or porn.

I am on the same page as you, Theorist. And yes, it was a bad analogy but again, I did it was a set of two extremes. One being better than the other, IMO.

I would try everything to stop them. Everything in some limits, that is. No throwing acid or killing them! I would try and try to convince them...but if I fail, then I will break all contact with them, and break my own heart in the process:-(

But in the end, I really believe you should live and let live. If you try everything short of physically harming them, and they still don't see the light, then just let it go, and leave their life.

OF COURSE killing someone is worse! (i'm talking about the Islamic perspective here, murder is the biggest sin in Islam) so if I had a kid who had to make a choice between the two, of course murder would not be an option, if that makes sense. How can anyone compare the two and not think murder is far worse? That baffles my mind.
Uh, duh. That is exactly what I'm saying and you need help if you think otherwise. Murder is the worst thing you can do, as a Muslim especially. Tahmeena is NOT causing harm to anyone. Those murderers kill innocent people, destroy families, ruin lives and harm/kill children. Don't see how anything could be worse than that.

Yeah, I meant the same. As in, there are probably a ton already in the industry for whatever reason. Low self-esteem, money, attention, whatever. Also, I highly doubt religion is enough to stop anyone. The idea of being a porn star wouldn't even occur to someone who's a good muslim, let alone it being a reason preventing them from joining the industry.

its a coincidence that i found abt her a few weeks ago and kept thinking same thing as the OP. its just a shame i would say or may be curse to hav kids/siblings like these. worse is she's highly talented, a software eng and won scholarship as a student. from wat i read she accepts to be a muslim which is a further shame and actually was asking for votes to a be on Playboy cover. she wishes to have sex on roof of world trade center and wanna be a pornstar. there's nothing left to say after that except i wish she converts to some other religion n not ridicule muslims anymore.

Thanks for the advice, but I stand by my assertion. Per modern geographic definitions, The Middle East is a region that encompasses Western Asia and Northern Africa. It is often used as a synonym for Near East, in opposition to Far East. Pakistan is a part of the Indian Subcontinent, smack in the lower central portion of the continent of Asia, which is sometimes refered to as “The Greater Middle Eastern Region” however I think most guppans will understand that I was pointing to the vast diffences is “Pakistani” and “Middle Eastern”..these are two TOTALLY different cultures, areas and regions. Just like here in the US, you’ll routinely see Pakistani restaraunts incorrectly listed under “Middle Eastern Cuisine” in magazines and newspapers…

For all those who are saying they'd kick her out of the house, honestly people would that be enough? I am so angry just thinking abt this, I'd actually do major physical harm to her. Chop off those fronties if need be, Even out of the house she is my daughter and NO WAY IN HELL is she going about like that. I dont care if I have to throw acid on her face or burn her alive.

Yeah, she is really smart and had gotten a scholarship as well. And she was featured in some playboy event, not as a playmate or in the magazine. And she does not want to be a pornstar, she has never exposed "anything" either. Maybe that's why her parents and family are okay with it.
