I don't think it's very fair to come down on Muzna or anyone else for starting this thread and insinuating gossip...isn't that what we ALL do in life1 on a daily basis anyway....comment on life situations, regardless if they are real, made up, hypothetical, or whatever? I mean seriously, why all this bitterness?

Actually, going by the definition of "gossip" that's being put forth.....MANY things in life can be considering as gossiping. Is there anyone here that doesn't read the news? Headlines about real people....and then discuss them? Even though those real people aren't there to defend themselves. Heck in those cases, we know the exact identities of those people! Majority of the threads on Life1 (and even on many others forums) talk about 3rd parties who're not members on this site. Yet I don't see people protesting there.

Even people who post and ask for advice here....they're talking about their in-laws, spouse, co-workers etc. etc. etc. I don't see any of the posters here who have an issue with Muzna's story telling all those others posters that they shouldn't "gossip" about people without their permission/who aren't here to defend themselves.

I'm pretty sure that no one is being forced to come to this forum (or even this site) and participate. If someone doesn't agree with what happens in this forum, then they have it within their power to stay out of it. But choosing to participate/share opinions in some threads that contain gossip (going by their definition)....and bashing certain members for doing the same thing in other threads is hyprocrical. Very silly case of pot calling the kettle black.

The way I see it is that no one can express their thoughts if it goes against the "mainstream" here. And from the looks of it, Afshi didn't mention any names..she could have been talking about the whole lot...
