Re: What to make for Eid dinner

^ yes... i never said i didnt know how to cook.. i was just outta ideas

when u see the same people every week and cook for them on a regular basis... u kinda do need some ideas on how to make a certain day a lil more special than regular family gatherings... nothing wrong with getting ideas

Re: What to make for Eid dinner

Have you tried Oajri? Since its eid, it should be easy to get. Now thats an idea.

Re: What to make for Eid dinner

hmm no.. is that brain? ooh never tried it...

my rule, on dawats, never make anything ive not already tested... lol

Re: What to make for Eid dinner

No, its not brain. Can I tell you after the dawat and eid festivities? lol

I've become fan of Chicken Tikka Maalai and butter chicken recently... but they are way down the list, after karailas, baataaoons and toari/teindais.

Re: What to make for Eid dinner

not had chicken tikka maalai... got the recipe?

im a fan of (cus of the hubz) sabat things now.. like sabat dhaniya, chilli... the more sabat things in a dish, the nicer it tastes.

try chicken kadhai with sabat dhaniya, garlic, ginger and fresh red/green chillies.. its devine

Sadzz here's something I make for dawat's

1 kg boneless chicken breasts
1/2 cup yoghurt
1 cup cream
3 tablespoons fried brown onions
3 tablespoons green onions (finely chopped)
1 tbls black pepper powder
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp green chilli paste.

You marinate all of the above and set it aside for 2 hours. Then in a heavy bottom pan add ghee and the mixture and cook over slow flame till the chicken is tender, add salt. Last u do a "dhungaar" by placing a hot piece of coal in tin-foil and dropping a few drops of ghee onto it to smoke the chicken.

i dont get the last part Gina.....
