Re: what sort of bridal outfit should a curvier woman wear so as not to look bigger
You want material that will skim the figure and FALL nicely. Focus on how the material lays on your body and you will be fine.
Re: what sort of bridal outfit should a curvier woman wear so as not to look bigger
One more thing you NEED to do: go for a professional bra fitting and spend some money on the perfect undergarments. It will do wonders for your figure and confidence. :)
no its not…its down to my bra strap…im sure theres a few straps when your wearing one…and its down my back. and its always been known as bra strap, even when you go into salons. your hair up to ur shoulder is known as shoulder lenght… ![]()
EXCUSE ME, size 12 is not bulky or a plus size…wow your asians need to get a grip and get out more and stop thinking that unless your a lettuce shaped anorexic you are a plus size… this is the reason i get aheadache talking to pakistani people cos they are so narrow minded and almost have uneducated thought processes.. everyone back home will identify you as a moti even if you are a normal healthy weight for your height , thank god we get fed here in the west, id be a stick insect otherwise…

Re: what sort of bridal outfit should a curvier woman wear so as not to look bigger
u should make high joora so u will look tall
this is seriously the first time i am hearing this kind of hair measurment… even my salon wali doesn’t say that!!!
thats why i was a bit ![]()
Okay, I got it. Usually, around here we refer to that as mid-back. Different places refer to hair lengths differently…understandable.
Nadz…I dont think mahismart was trying to offend you…those were just suggestions to look into. If you are curvy, then sometimes you need to figure out ways to minimize those curves especially in bridal lehngas…you cant have your dupatta covering your chest (I havent seen dupatta settings that can do that) or wear anything that might make it look bigger then it is. Same for your hips.
She was simply trying to help.
Re: what sort of bridal outfit should a curvier woman wear so as not to look bigger
I wonder if i should be offended at what u guys consider a “bulky” or “healthY” bride ![]()
Re: what sort of bridal outfit should a curvier woman wear so as not to look bigger

I am sorry, nadz, if I hurt your feelings but I was simply trying to help. I never judge or label people. I don't call anyone choti, moti, dubli, ganji or anything esle. I don't know how you look like but I was trying to answer your query in the best possible way. I found an article which I thought would help you in deciding. I wasn't trying to offend you.
I am not trying to offend anyone, Sara. I posted pics of Asian Brides wearing lehngas that I found over the net, to show that a person can look good despite the weight. You just need to be happy to get that glow.
I think I should be careful in posting in future.

I don't think mahismart was trying to offend anyone here- she simply posted an article which she thought would be helpful to you and others facing a similar problem.. so let's chill with the choice of words, alright? noone here is being 'narrow minded' or 'uneducated.' mahismart is nothing but helpful to everyone here, she tries to provide as much information as possible in every thread.

Sorry Mahi, i was just messing around. You are a very valuable member here, extremely helpful and polite, and hardly anyone can find anything you say/do offensive. Please keep on posing. :)
Re: what sort of bridal outfit should a curvier woman wear so as not to look bigger
i dont agree… i am curvy, and was a lot more curvier when i got married, and i wore a fish tail with a short shirt… didnt look odd at all.. but i guess others may have had another opinion :halo:

bless you sweety, sorry maybe i sound more rude than i actually am trying to be. and no chill relax its fine. i was veting steam towards back home people esp in my fmaily who percieve anyone whose not ultra skinny to be moti....my friend is a uk size 10, thats almost perfectttttttttttttt yet she gets called moti...my sister is a size 6 uk size. they consider her smart even though her ribcage stick out...
thats why its annoying..however most men ( and it is a MAN e marry) love curves...so thank god for that.
