i am crazy abt interior designing so i am always moving things around and decorating each and every room...... so once i was doing some interior designing and mom came up to me and she wanted to do her way and i wanted to ma way and she was like
Yeh mera ghar hai main apne ghar jaa kar apni marzi se sajana....

i was so mad .... i left everything there and later when she asked me to do something i was like yeh mera ghar tu nahi hai na lolsss i was so stupid......

but now i am excited when i am gona move to ma house :P and will run things MY WSAY :P

i guess most the time mom say it so girl have it in back of their head that they r staying here forever.....and eventually they have to move out so they dont get attached to the house as such that emotionally it comes as a big shock to them....

wow same thing happened to me.i'm a HGTV junkie nmy mom was so bossy now i play with things in my house.its so much fun.n sumetimes ppl giv my deco compliments too.but when i went back to my moms place after 4 yrs she has done a plenty gud job herself.guess runs in the family :)

But you know what? There is something to be said about the way we are at home, so carefree and so relaxed. I wonder if that same comfort level is ever reached when you're married or do you always have to look a certain way?

today begum was bumming around in tracksuit pants with stripes on teh side and a hoodie this evening because she is unwell and felt cold..yesterday I was unwell so I was rocking flannel pj bottoms and a henley.

you dont have to look a certain way...both spouses have a right to do what they please, of course keeping the other person's perspectives in consideration, and the expectations we have from one another have to be realistic.

I would rather see her in a hoodie, relaxed and at ease than be prim and dressed up and miserable

it makes me cry just thinking about leaving my mommy. parents are such a precious blessing from Allah, they take care of u all ur life, feed you, do whatever is in their ability to get you what you want and keep a smile on your face all the time. Mothers miss their children more than anything trust me. my mom cries when i go to my in-laws house and ive been engaged over a year now m`A. I dont know whats going to happen in my ruksati.

no i think pyari is right moms should say it in diff way like my mom used to b "ye sub yahan nahi chalay ga apnay gher ja ker kerna" n it used to hurt.So one day out of anger i just said to my 4 yrs old "nikal jayo meray gher se"n she started crying so loud n know y?not bcoz i said get out but coz i said"mera gher"n she was"mera gher nahi hai?"n then i realized how stupid of me so if a 4yrs can feel it y won't an older kid would feel same.Inshallah i won't tell these things to my gals in typical way but more friendly way.

Nothing is wrong with anyone, its got to do with where she is in life and how her mom said it.

Now, in the past I have always laughed it off when my mom says something like that to me.

But these days, it seems more real. It makes you feel like you're leaving your home for good to make a new one but you dont even know where that will be yet. Its a wierd, twisted emotion.

Did you cry at your sister's rukhsati? I did. Its that same emotion.

LOL, thats what Im talkin about! I want to be able to do that but worry sometimes...what if he sees me like that and then thinks Im a frump? He says it doesnt matter but why would he say otherwise? Its good to know that you do get to a point where you can be comfortable with each other. :)

P^2- its not a question of getting to a point, its expectation setting, that was one thing we did even before we got married. to me she is most beautiful first thing in the morning ..hair going wild, no make up..just her pure and simple, she dunn buy it though even though i have been telling her that since day 1. (the breath is a diff story though)

i mean there is a balance, i cant be bumming all weekend in boxers and tanktop, no showering or shaving because well i just want to bum around..not that I would want to do that anyways, but there is a balance between just doing what you please without any regard to your spouse, or just trying to meet some ridiculous expectations set for you or by you.

Well even though those r ur golden days but if u live in ur separate place after marriage with ur hubby n kids n the hubby's not really nosey its like being a queen in ur own territory.the best rule is wear watever,eat watever,wakeup at watever time but as soon as its time for hubby to come home everything should go back in the right place,house clean,food ready on stove,kids look clean u look better.:)
but obviously thats not always possible.

depends... if ur living with ur inlaws, you might need to look a certain way.. :) if ur on ur own, then its totally upto u...

when my BIL isnt at home.. im totally carefree with hubby.. not a care in the world but obviously when BIL is home, there are some restrictions

I think ive been comfortable with hubby from day one and vice versa.. i think he looks the best in trackies and a t-shirt when we're at home.. and i know he doesnt like me being prim and proper all the time.. i enjoy the compliments i get from him when im looking like a complete bum.. i think they matter more to me than when i dress up.. :)

I hope he can be okay with my jungly hair and no makeup self too. I dont think I would like to be bummy always (I love to dress up), niether would he. He actually is pretty cautious of how he dresses around me, way more then I am. LOL. Im okay with jeans, a shirt and boots. The expectation though of your partner not looking perfect all the time is necessary.
