I read a report that says women consider a man who makes £50,000 per annum to be a “financial success”-is that the benchmark?
Does it hold true overseas? Is $50,000 considered a jawan salary in the US?

50g is good money...id say your doing pretty well if you earning over 30...and very well if your at 50...thats pounds...

I'm not sure, but I think in the US, anything above $75K is considered a pretty good salary.
Six figures would be deemed an excellent salary.

In US 50K is moderate, but an OK salary. I don't know about girls' standards.
However 70K is definetely a handsome income for a small family.
For a lush mansion and fleet of SUVs and sport cars, 100K is the benchmark.
These are my own observations.

if you're a singly guy, 50K is real good. if you want to get married, get 75K.

I agreed with you that 50+ is average, but if you have family of 4-5 (include couple and kids) I would preferably double will be a good amount of salary.

I assume you guys mean 50k USD is standard. Cos 50K £ is a serious income.

UK 50K is about $100,000.

$30-40K a year is good for a college grad, entry level..
When I was looking for jobs as secretary/assistant, I got the range from 25 (complete beginner) to 45 (executive assistants)

A "good" salary is however much is enough to make you satisfied with your lot in life and confident that you could live out the rest of your life like that without being unhappy.

Exactly. It might be possible in some place such as N. Dakota, or Montana where your neighbors are like 20 miles away, but in the urban world of USA, it's highly unlikely to have all that with just $100K.

Depends on where u live. My daughter lives in London, makes 55,000 pounds and doesn't think she can even afford to buy a decent place to live.

If you compared yourself to the average guy 50k is a lot of money...unless you wanted an apartment in the best area you could afford a place on 50k no problem...where does she want a place and how big?...average wage is 18k so 50 is doing pretty well...but each person has their own definition of whats good i suppose so your daughters stnadards are higher than 55k...i can say id be happy with what shes earning...
