Say she is early to mid 20's.
It's a lifestyle choice. She wants to remain single, unattached, and is repulsed by the thought of having kids or having to govern a household and serve her man.

as far as I know, in our family it is considered bad practice to demand "jhahaiz".

This...if she is educating herself and or working and taking care of her own responsabilities on her own, then so be it. Marriage in the end is her decision, if she does not want it, it cannot be forced.
