Ayite u r confusing me now.
Hamilton mosque is not in downtown, its on moutain stoney creek area.
there are only two mosques in downtown, 1) Downtown Mussalah/ mosque 2) Ibrahim Jame Mosque.
and i hate mahal :s there buffet is too small and i dont like there food aswell.
but if u work in downtown there is a halal pizza place called National Pizza right in front of Mahal.
and there is an awsome restaurant at Main and Catherin called Modern India Buffet. There food tastes just like pakistani food and they claim to serve halal food, i personally asked the owner. and there rates are cheap but there buffet is huuugeeeee. so thats the best place in dowtown.
i dono how much time u get for lunch but in westdale at King in mcmaster area there is arab food place "Basilique" near scotia bank, TCBY and pita place. there pizza is better than pizza hut and they have a huge variety of arab food.
then there is a nice place at King and Dundurn called Shehnaii, there food is nice and spicy, it is owned by bangali but chefs are pakistani and they serve pakistani and indian food, but not sure about halal meat.
i live in east end that is 30 mins away from downtown, and there alot of desi places here but i guess u wont be able to drive that much
btw i work in Toronto LOL
