Right! It's what my mom said too, that it's rude to reply with a quirky comeback when an elder is asking the question. She also said if you had been rude to her, she would have taken revenge in ways you and I can't even imagine.

I am actually insecure about it since it is quite low. So I won't be disclosing it. It would make me feel like a loser. :D

I can absolutely relate! One of my aunts (whom I like and respect) can sometimes forget her boundaries. At one point she literally started listing figures and asking me “more than this, or less”. I tried to brush it off by saying “alhamdolillah, it’s in a comfortable range”. I felt so trapped that I couldn’t think to do anything but play along until after about 5 min of it she landed on my actual salary. Then ofcourse, she wanted to know about my benefits package :smack:
