No, I am not actually really “scared” of her but she sure does sound like my ami sometimes. I tease her back the same way though when she is telling me about a situation. Rather it is more about being kept in shape and stable by your wife, and how similar it is to the ami role.
Specifically, I was getting a bit depressed and making some late payments on my bills and just falling behind in all my tasks. She got me out of the depression, and indeed did get me on task after a few more phone calls. I started calling her everytime I got depressed or really bothered by a situation. And she started doing the same as well although by far I was the one with more problems.
Sometimes people just have that calming and soothing effect on people.
Yes, indeed but fights are part of marriage, I have a rule though that we both agreed to already…No sleeping without solving our issues to the point we arent angry at each other anymore. Personally, I am just like the average guy when it comes to yelling as I do yell sometimes for stupid reasons but I am always the one to apologize for something like that. Yes, indeed a loving relationship should exist but believe it or not you actually get closer after having a few fights. Sounds odd right? But it is true or at least it is for me…

Another question added to this post- how comfortable are guys with their wives working after marriage? if she has a job before marrying you, do you expect her to quit and take care of the kids, or will you be okay with helping her around the house and an ayah for the kids?
Looks as though all of us guys who replied (all 3 or 4 of us anyway) are either okay with her working or in favour of her working.

Well since we have soo many threads full of what girls look for in a guy..
I thought why not find out what traits/characteristics do Men want when they are looking for a wife.. You know height, built, profession or do you want a housewife?! Age difference, etc. etc. etc…
Basically just like how the female guppies have expressed exactly what they are looking for in men, now its your turn!!
Initially, since ours was an arranged affair, both of us were at odds, not knowing what to expect from the other…But as time progressed, we started to get to know each other…Now,
My only requirement was that she be a namazi…Didn’t matter what she looked like, how she dressed, what her education was…But mother knows best, and it’s true…
She didn’t have male friends, but if she did, I would not be comfortable with it…Friends are there for moral support and time pass…Who could be more closer and intimate than a spouse for those things? On a side note, she is not comfortable with me having girl friends either…
She never wore half sleeves let alone sleeveless…

Do you expect your wife to do all the household chores, cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping just like the traditional way?!
Why do you think I got married? hehe j/k…I share my chores with her…Except for folding clothes and ironing them…I hate that…

No compromise with height and education....
(obviously other one ..is ur future hubby )
Better mind ur own business ...Do what u want to do ..let others do wht they want ...
u can live with ur family if u want ....
Don t expect any thing from others ....(obviously ur hubby )
not compulsory to live with ur hubby only ....
u can live independently too ....
Be independent finanacially , otherwise u be fully dependent ...
u have to pay the price of the time ....tht u want to spemd with ur hubby ..heh
upto to u .....should be religious minded ..but be modern when u want to ..
u must have full time job .....so its better to be bussy ...rather thn sitting @ home ...
no kids for first 3- 5 years of marriage .... it depends @ age when we are married ...first kid after 26-28 ..
hehe ...thts all enough I guess ...Do add if I am missing something ...
thts just an idea.....thousands of things more to be added ...

It's a given that the person should have good education, sense of humor, looks (eye of the beholder), etc but they won't determine the quality of your relationship. Above all else, people should have compatibility (emotional, intellectual and functional/operational) and synergy. Without these elements, no matter how many items on your check list your spouse/partner meets, you can't have a lasting relationship, gratifying relationship.
