Since so many people I meet favour Imran Khan leading Pakistan, but none have been able to give me specifics of his agenda, I’d like to throw this open to people
What’s Imran’s policy on Kashmir and negotiating on it?
What’s Imran’s policy on dealing with militancy?
What are his economic policies?
What is his position on regulating madrassas?
What is his position on the Hudood Ordnance?
What are his policies on defence and defence spending?
How does Imran propose tackling corruption?
I’ll think of more while I fly halfway round the world tonight and post more on Saturday night.
Re: What are the policies of Imran Khan and the PTI?
By having a totally independent judiciary, giving them more powers, & giving justice to every person of Pakistan. That is his basics. I believe every good country's success starts from there.

What are his economic policies?

Once he suggested most stupid idea about some business plan. By keeping a side the emotions, Imran Khan is the most decent and honest person in whole lot of Paki politicians. Unfortunately he is not a politician, if highest position is given to him; he will be total failure for Pakistan. He does not know how to deal with the volcano of corrupt people including politicians, sardars, chaudhries, wadaras, mqm factor, military, judiciary and civil servants. He knows dick about foreign policy. One person not knowing the traits of Paki politics will miserably fail.
He should be coach of a Paki cricket team, where his expertise is.

did you really need to ask this question after he supported nawa shirif, made a new party and made him chairman of it and even invited bibi to join them.
i think his purpose on it is quite clear, lets tackle coruption by making them leaders.
Re: What are the policies of Imran Khan and the PTI?
Excellent questions Maddy.
Hard as I read Imran’s websites, watch his interviews etc I end up compelled to reluctantly list him as an option to lead Pakistan never because of his views, agendas or policies, but **only **because he is the safest option, the best of the political lot, and that is perhaps his only qualification, and an example of our miserable choices from the pool of ***political ***leaders.
But then again, who could be better is a tough thing for us to ponder over;
a clean man who hasn’t made a mess before but has no idea what to make of a mess at present, or, those who have made great messes before, could make even greater one again, but by some chance might know a bit about working around the present mess.
Re: What are the policies of Imran Khan and the PTI?
Hes Oxford educated, im sure hes smart... When we have third class PMA graduates running this country with the help of the likes of Chaudhry Shujaat, Wasi Zafar etc, we dont really need to worry about any 'paalicies'...
Re: What are the policies of Imran Khan and the PTI?
If the people of Musharraf's pre 2002 cabinet join him (or people like them), he is definately going to make a change in this country.
But you know it is very hard to break up the network of influential black sheeps here. I think Musharraf tried it before 2002 but failed and then become a part to it.
Re: What are the policies of Imran Khan and the PTI?
Good point, but I believe those ppl in Musharrafs regime percieved how he was going to go down and left with dignity, and Musharraf had to scrape the bottom of the barrel and resort to the likes of Altaf, Sheikh Rashid, Wasi, Shujaat... I am glad for one, that a person like Imran did not join Musharraf's tola of jokers...
