I think if he had joined Musharraf's party then, then probably Musharraf would'nt neet them then. You know Musharraf forced MQM to stay out of the local bodies elections in year 2000 through Gov Moin Haider and as a result Mr. Naimatullah became Karachi's lord mayor till 2005.

Musharraf needed a political force to back him at that time, and obviously the popular ones with the exception of the bhattakhormurderingparty felt they could oust him through their votebank, so all he was left was PML[Q] and some other nobodys like deghari etc... Ofcourse, theres also the PML[N] lotaz who switched sides including leaders that musharraf had previously imprisoned.

Once he suggested most stupid idea about some business plan. By keeping a side the emotions, Imran Khan is the most decent and honest person in whole lot of Paki politicians. Unfortunately he is not a politician, if highest position is given to him; he will be total failure for Pakistan. He does not know how to deal with the volcano of corrupt people including politicians, sardars, chaudhries, wadaras, mqm factor, military, judiciary and civil servants. He knows dick about foreign policy. One person not knowing the traits of Paki politics will miserably fail.
He should be coach of a Paki cricket team, where his expertise is.
And you think Musharraf knew all this when he usurped power in 1999? Over time he learned the tricks of politics and how to outfox and fool the public. I sincerely believe that even people like Benazir, Ch. Shujaat, that goon Altaf, Maulana diesel and so on who have been in politics a lot longer than Imran cannot answer these questions satisfactorily. They all know crap about good governance as far as I am concerned. BB had two goes and she did shi* head otherwise each time she was removed from office the country would not have been in far worse shape than when she took over the job. bhai mere (as Zafarullah Khan Jamali would say) many aspects of politics and good governance you learn on the job. That's why you have people like advisers, technocrats, bureaucrats, military intelligence personnel etc. to help and guide an elected leader as does happen in the US and UK. You honestly believe that Bush is really running the US!
And I think it's grossly unfair to expect any politician who's not/has never been in government (and who has no first-hand knowledge of and/or complete access to important details like exact funding available to the government, man power, exact resources, accurate intelligence about various national and international threats etc.) to give very specific answers. But they should have a broad idea of what they want to do.
So why pick on one individual? just because he's more vocal!
And what credentials exactly did Arnold Schwarzenegger have when he joined politics? It was mainly his Hollywood stardom that got him elected as Governor of California. I am pretty sure that he too learned more about politics and good governance on the job.

The other party leaders of TI are from the same type of stock which made up most of the policitical parties in this country - always looking for undue gains from their powers and seats.

MQM in the beginning came up with educated and sincere people in the beginning - but they either left or become terroists or corrupts like others. And the main flaw with MQM was that it raised its foundation on ethnic lines.

^ not everyone here is a politician yara, engineers cant be politicians, just like how politicians cant be engineers... plus, when you see paid MQM or workers from other parties posting their propoganda here, its a turn off and would prevent you from joining any political party in pakistan

Becasue the policitcs in Pakistan is so bad no noble person wants to indulge in it. So we have to be content with these nasty people.

Hes Oxford educated, im sure hes smart... When we have third class PMA graduates running this country with the help of the likes of Chaudhry Shujaat, Wasi Zafar etc, we dont really need to worry about any 'paalicies'...
Well the *third class *PMA Graduate passed out at number 10 in his entire course consisting of about 150 cadets, and was an appointment holder; the BJUO and was carrying the Pak flag at passing out. In addition to his third class BSc degree from PMA (awarded by Peshawar Univ at that time), he is also a third class graduate of CSC Quetta, NDC (now NDU) Rwp and RCDS UK with distinction.
Meanwhile, Chaudhry Shujaat is a graduate from FC College (PU) and holds a degree in Industrial Management from UK and Wasi Zafar is a graduate of Gordon College (PU) and LLB from Punjab University.
Just facts.
Imran is surely an Oxford graduate, but what does that guarantee when it comes to Pak politics?
Apparently Benazir and daddy Zulfi were educated at Oxford before spending time in US at Harvard and USC respectively too...
