my point was that there is not much difference between east and west here. The only major difference is that eastern "dates" need to be on-the-sneak and western dates do not. Otherwise the game is the same. I've heard much, I've seen much...on both sides of the oceans....and this is my firm conclusion based on all I've seen.. .. east and west are the same....its just that one stands up for what they're doing, the other hides and lies about it.

mamaof3..what r u even trying to argue here..the % of eastern (desi) girls who try to hide their sexual escapades before marriage is very very low...now goriz might be open about it but the % of goriz having sex before marriage is very high..

Sex and dating is, indeed everywhere in US....people do these things, they talk about it, they dont hide it. Having a physical relationship with someone you love, even prior to marriage, is generally not frowned upon too much here. People can talk about it without hiding the facts, they can be "who they are" without lying to everyone and anyone.

Over "there", the same things happen but the lies that go on to hide the facts go on as the day is long.

Sorry if you dont want to admit it but its true. People are people yeah? There isnt much difference whether you're big enough to admit it or want to hide behind the false bravado of a "superior" upbringing or religion. There are decent people and indecent people in EVERY culture. Thats what you need to understand.

But if you count the ones who date and all that in public, and the ones that hide, lie, and date secretly in the west, u can't deny the ones who do this outnumber the ones in Pakistan percentage wise. Just want sum1 to admit it for once.

You know Afridi, I really dont know about that one. A western gal at age 17 is allowed to go to her prom, escorted by a date, its all out in the open yadayada....typically, most gals do not have sex esp with all the sex-ed and abstinence being taught these days....

Over there, the gals have to sneak around and they DO, and they talk about it to their "western relations" but lie thru their teeth abt it to their "eastern relations".

My conclusion based on the numbers I've seen is that teens are teens, they all have pretty much the same desires (as in what they like to do for fun, not meaning sex). But over there its taboo over here it isnt, over there you have to lie, over here you dont. Over there, the gals have to wear purdah over here they dont....so over there, they go out all covered with their miniskirts underneath and just take off the purdah once they're out of sight of their watchers....

So I've seen so much more craftiness on the part of desi gals, not that I'm critisizing, I mean they're being young and free and they have to be crafty to gain the freedom they want yeah? But that DOES NOT mean that they're "easy" nor does it mean that western gals are "easy" when they dress the dress etc.

With western gals, mommy and daddy have no say...you have to stand on your own merits without mommy and daddy buying your bride for you.

I'd like to ask you mr misguided....how old ARE you? You seem to have some pretty firm convictions on what you want in a wife and what you want for your family and yet some of your opinions seem so...well YOUNG. Or perhaps you have not been outside of a muslim country? I am not being mean here. Just curious. Why can you not accept other cultures, other peoples and the ways that they have? In the west, they see purdah as curious as you see mini-skirts and bare arms and heads. I can accept that and fit in in both worlds without feeling negatively about it but you think that its your way or the highway. Yes well said. Its true but the statement some of us are making here is that the MAJORITY of whites start having partners and experimenting at a young age, compared to desis.

You won't come accross many desi girls getting pregnant before the age of 16 by a random bloke who isn't willing to take up the responsibility of the child to be born into this world.

its just the fact that their raised differently with different values and stuff.. u could argue the same for pakistani girls(not as well tho:D )... considering that a significant amount of pakistans male population is uneducated.. You can't possibly compare goriz with desi girls. In goriz culture, it is OK to wear short and revealing dresses. They can go out and wear a bikini on a beach.
