Don’t you western-raised girls ever get tired of complaining about Pakistani guys?
“Oh he’s too traditional”; “He’s a mamma’s boy”; “He’s too religous”. You’re all going to marry someone who has one of the above (or other) characteristics. Just deal with it.

I would have defintly married a non-Pakistani as well if it weren't for social burdens and, to a lesser extent, cultural differences.

Western girls would be better to opt for non desi Muslim men to marry instead. They aquire more of the 'open-mind' which most desis seem to lack on.

Sometimes I think the same.....If I am going to marry a westernised pakistani girl that is muslim only in name....then why don't I instead marry a western girl...what is the difference and some of them have better personalities and are more human than Pakistani girls anyway. Why settle for second best...or wannabe western girls why not go for the original article.

What is original?
A western Pakistani girl is as original as a white girl. Religion holds no meaning to many whites.. hence it has no place in this equation.

A western Pakistani girl is a wannabe western girl not the original article. Original means that is their culture a wannabe is someone that wants to mimick that culture which is alien to her own kind. Even if she was a western girl and there was no religion in the equation....there are say 19 whites girls for every 1 pakistani girl...now you are 19 times more likely to marry a white girl as opposed to a Pakistani girl.

A british born Pakistani girl is as much westernised as the white girl, the only person in denial is that of the pakistani girls parents.

I know there are many good girls in the west that are better than the ones even in Pakistan. But if they are totally westernised and are not religious and you are prepared to marry them then I think you should also consider the white girls. A lot of the white girls will be even better than westernised desi girls. I find that white girls generally are more compassionate, have better personalaties and better attitudes than desi girls.

I'm a western gal, a gori to be exact....and I have no prob with "abcd"s as I married the very best one of them.
What DOES bother me is all the racism against "white" girls...they're all "easy", they have no culture, no religion etc etc etc. That just isnt true and those of you who express these views obviously dont know any "white" girls other than the ones you see on TV or those you meet on the wrong side of the tracks.

That is because the classy white girls don't look the desis way. Desperate times call for desperate measures.. I.e when whites get desperate, they found the likewise in desis.
Having said that - it's just that many ppl are ignorant.

Anil you're right....desi's (non-western) men are not bad IF they are educated and can keep an open mind (not too open of course). I have come across some of the nicest guys who were raised in pak.
One shouldnt generalize...each person should evaluated on an individual basis.

ITA - I too am a gori, and am so sick and tired of gora and western being used to describe every terrible habit a person could have.
If you guys are looking for girls in school or at bars who are "easy" guess what - you'll find them. But decent 'gori' girls wouldn't give guys like you the time of day - neither would any desi girl, for that matter. Maybe it's for the best that you guys have mommies to find biwis for you - if you were on your own you'd never find one.

amana and mamaof3....just so you know....i have 3 really good friends who are gori (2 married to arabs and 1 married to a paki). 2 of them converted to Islam the other has not. ALL 3 are wonderful....the one that hasnt converted is so understanding of the religion and insists that her boys grow up Muslim. :)
They mashAllah live very happy lives andd are quite content. The point im trying to get across is....forget what everyone has to say about gori's! those ppl are just ignorant.

Thanks AE - it really doesn't bother me most of the time - but i just got back from a horrible visit to Pakistan where some people were really insulting, and after awhile, it just gets really old to hear the insults. :)

Amana i have a gori chachi and everyone in the family loves her, they think she’s wonderful, she’s generous, very helpful etc. She took so much care of the house and bills and stuff while we were in Pak and even when we came back she had bought groceries so that we’d have a little bit to eat when we came home, the other night she drove over here at 11 PM to pick us up and let her stay at her house coz the lights in our neighborhood went off. So yeah..she’s kewl
