Re: West Indies tour (Merged)

Ok buhat huwa for this jhaat pherrari, Let him come and perform, provided if he is selected.
Personally if Cricket Pakistan dont select on a personal grudge they are making a big mistake, let this series be career maker or breaker for him.

Have seen an attitude change in him, in a +ive way, let see how he carries himself on and off the field, hopefully not on strecher.

For how long, only God knows!

I hope he will become an insaan this time around. I picture Akhtar running with namaz ki topi on his head in WI to prove that he has changed

Re: West Indies tour (Merged)

chosing afridi in team is like chosing between life and death.

Team for WI matches Test/ODI'z

What 16 players do you think will make it in team for WI matches both test and odi?

Re: Team for WI matches Test/ODI'z

Most likely all of the team that played India ODI series, except for M Sami (injured), plus Shabbir, Gul and Shoaib Akhtar (likely).

Shabbir, Umar Gul cleared to play competitive cricket

KARACHI: Pacer bowlers Shabbir Ahmed and Umar Gul have been cleared by specialists on Thursday to be considered for selection for the West Indies tour. According to sources in the Board, Dr Wajid and Professor Owais, who is an honorary consultant of the board, examined both the bowlers in Lahore on Thursday and then gave their reports that both were fit and could return to play in competitive cricket.

Shabbir and Gul resumed playing only recently and are appearing in the Twenty20 Cup in Lahore after remaining on the sidelines because of injuries since last year.

While Shabbir suffered from a knee injury and had surgery for it, Gul was diagnosed two stress fractures in his back. Both the bowlers were sent to South Africa by the Board to get specialist opinions.

The sources said that the specialists on Thursday had given them a clean bill after examining the two bowlers very closely but also pointed out that the selectors might still want to clear any doubts over their ability to bowl long spells after returning from such a long layoff from competitive cricket.

Sources said Dr Wajid who performed the heel surgery on Muhammad Sami two days back in Karachi had also given a summary on the fast bowler’s condition in writing to the board.

“The summary has been dispatched to chief selector Wasim Bari as Sami has been given atleast three weeks rest before he start training and bowling again,” one source said.

Ironically, fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar who is also playing in the Twenty 20 Cup after recovering from a hamstring injury, was not available for examination on Thursday.

The source said the Board had on Thursday also obtained fresh reports from the South African trainer Grant Compton who supervised the rehabilitation process of Shabbir, Gul and Shoaib in Lahore in recent weeks.

“Compton’s report has also been given to the selectors so that they face no difficulty in taking any decision,” he added.

According to this article both Shabbir and Umar Gul are fit :k:

Re: West Indies tour (Merged)

The board will still take both these 2 gentlemen on the tour despite all the conflicting reports ending on the 'actual' on field performance,,,,lol

Re: West Indies tour (Merged)

^^ agreed !!!

Malik In or Out? Bazid Khan In?

It seems like Shaharyar khan is pretty pissed off at malik and he will face a possible suspension or a punishment which could be an exclusion from the WI touring side. Malik will face 3 member PCB disciplinary committee on saturday morning.

If, and I hope it won’t happen, malik is dropped from the side, any ideas if we will see a new face. Heard inzi really wants to get bazid khan in the side. Bazid has been performing good on the domestic scene but his recent performance in srilanka against srilanka A again caught selectors and inzi’s attention where he made 2 centuries. Read the news

Re: Malik In or Out? Bazid Khan In?

well this may be a blessing in disguise for malik, i dont have a problem with what malik did by the way! n e way i think this is a great chance to try out yasir arafat for odi team and suspend malik so he can go ahead and have his surgery!!! as for bazid khan, i dont think there is any room in the team for a batsman right now, but maybe they will play him for inzi in the first test! but i do like him i think he is a good player!
