Well dressed wife/badly dressed hubby

Re: Well dressed wife/badly dressed hubby

i dont like the chamakta howa outfits either, but there can be smart casual desi clothes too. theyre not always chamaktey n horrifying.

And if you don’t, I will change :emmy:

Re: Well dressed wife/badly dressed hubby

I know that you changing the whole dresses is not as easy as me changing one shirt .. that is why I try to change :(

Re: Well dressed wife/badly dressed hubby

Don’t use that sad smilie, I can’t be angry anymore :nahi:

I dont remember the 90s much but I see that alot now..Theres this guy on my facebook, him and his wife always match..like he has a red shirt and shes wearing a red scarf, or his tie/shirt will match her jora…it just looks adorable!

But ur right about the complementing, though it should be only one way (iie both look good), not that one bcomes a hobo :smack:

true, and they have a time and a place. and in some cases they are not used properly either.
and secondly its the amount of jewerly and makeup etc some ladies show up with.

ever seen desi chicas at some outdoor event, aray bhai its a cookout at someone's backyard, stilettos phen-na zaroori tha? :D put some flats on..hair is all up in that bun planet thing and with a lot of make up.

I think overdressed or overdone is just as bad as underdressed, dress according to the occassions, in what suits the person etc.

thats all it is, the sad thing with guys is that we dont even have that many excuses as I believe guys dressing and grooming is simpler than that for ladies, but my desi brethren screw it up somehow.

I think more ladies need to smack some sense in their husbands and take them shopping, purge their closets and give them some lessons.

ugh...that 90's phenomenon is alive and kicking in wedding clothing mon ami.
I have seen some regular joes made to look like ass clowns by trying or forced to incorporate the wife's wedding outfit colours in their outfit..:)

Re: Well dressed wife/badly dressed hubby

Very soon they’ll be putting on makeup as well :nahi:

Re: Well dressed wife/badly dressed hubby

^ Please...start a seperate thread. Some husbands are just so stubborn.

Re: Well dressed wife/badly dressed hubby

Niksik - I have seen many arab guys getting threaded before their weddings at Indian salons.

Problem is, lot of our guys like to act like the Marlboro Man but ended up looking like a Baboo BeeRi guy. They need to know that there is a huge difference between the rugged-tough-manly look and a lousy dresser. You are not going to look like Abishek Bachchan just because you decided not to shave for two days and not comb your hair and wearing a torn jeans.

Re: Well dressed wife/badly dressed hubby

Sara, Don't you know how to throw a fit?

nj, I know...I've seen desi men too. I talking about contouring and wearing a nude beige on the lips :@:

I agree. I try to make the MAN more fashionable - but he likes his jeans and chappal. So be it!

I have children to dress up :snooty:

Re: Well dressed wife/badly dressed hubby

No :bummer:

And not cut your nails or floss the teeth...they think it's being natural...

Chamchamata outfits are to be worn only at weddings … woh bhi classy chamchamata, not the gaudy stuff.

And helloooo, haven’t you guys heard of cotton and lawn outfits (Gul Ahmed lawn, not the front-yard lawn) … those are ideal for casual gatherings, why does anyone need to go to JCpenney? Shalwar Kameez pehennay ka mauqa itna kum milta hai, mein tau shalwar kameez hee pehnoon gi.

And whats wrong with putting on makeup, would you guys turn up at a gathering without shaving or combing your hair? No na, so we have to have makeup on and straighten our hair … woh alag baat hai kay some ladies thopofy it on and make weird hairstyles :smack:.

Makeup is an art, it has to be really subtle for casual gatherings which some ladies just don’t get :snooty:

Jeans and chappals could be just fine for a bbq. I’ve seen your hubby, he’s well dressed m’A, don’t be so hard on him :hehe:

OK, throwing a fit 101: Sulk, get tears in your eyes, quiver your lips. Reference: madhubala in some old movie, black and white.

Maybe that is how ladies point towards the men crowd in parties to tell their GF's, who is their hubby ..

Sameena, wo dekho, wo jo pink bow tie aur turquoise shirt main hain naa.. haan haan wohi jo apni nose pick kar rahain hain .. wo hain meray husband.

:omg: Whats the bun planet thing… that is sooo funny? I’ve never seen any women around me in a bun, aap kahaan rehtay ho bhai?

:omg: I actually saw that at last week’s dawat…remember the guy who came to talk to you..his wife pointed him out to me exactly the same way minus the nose picking part!!
