^ I actually went and checked out your thread in World Affairs. No one was being defensive. They were just presenting the facts. The poor Iraqi guy did get caught amidst a shootout between two gangs. It was extremely tragic but based on the facts it was not a hate crime. The North Carolina incident based on facts was a pure hate crime. We Muslims need to present our grievances based on facts or we would just be taken as a group of people crying wolf. We definitely don’t want to take the focus away from actual issues facing the Muslim community in the US.
Just because we like to state facts doesn’t mean we are insecure. I know all you ppl love to think we live here with our tails between our legs but that is far from true. I personally enjoy more freedom and privileges here than I would in any other ‘Muslim majority’ country. I’m sorry if we all don’t chant ‘death to America’ after every negative news you post.
