my 1 n only elder sis is getting married in oct (karachi ) although i m lil sad as she would leave our home:( yet i m exited :).anyway valima has been finalized in pc pool side Now our issues r where to have MEHENDI and SHADI ? so we r looking for marrige garden for the mehendi and hall or garden for the shadi function.we were thinking for acropolis 4 the main shadi function but heard it is being destroying in august for sum plaza so we left the idea!
so now help us to find garden 4 the mehendi and garden or indooor hall for the wedding(but dont tell abt phase VIII clubs (as her in-laws forbid us for phase 8 clubs) dunno why
2nd thing is they booked allenora for the valima bridal make now where we go for the baraat bridal make up

I was married in Karachi and had our mehndi indoors at the Creek Club (they also have lawns) and the wedding at the Sheraton Darbar Hall. My Make up was done by Cistre in the Sheraton.
We had a good experience in all those places. But since I don't live in Karachi, i don't know much about other places.
i m looking gardens in middle of karachi...yaar cant go to creek or golf club as they r in phase VIII..i told u inlaws forbid us...we dont want to do in shereton they have only darbar hall...i didnt like it..and anotherr thing is all hotels like shereton married avari dont allow food from outside . they ve their own catering system and we just dont like food over there..they dont ve tasty food,..
there is "PIA garden" in gulshan near expo which is very good.. its in middle of karachi.. bakke lawns ka hal karachi mai kaffe borri hey hai.. u should visit them urself.. phr un mai se jo bahtar lagay wohe select karain..

That wasn't an issue for us because of that silly food law three years ago. We had to go elsewhere for dinner so we had it separately catered.
Sadabahar rocks!!! its in Bahadrabad, which is kinda close to Tariq Road…
oh, and another wedding i went to, i think it was called Rahid Minhas Lawn (its on Rashid Minhas Road near all that army stuff)… the lawn was really nice, fully covered but i think the ppl getting married went full out and really decorated the place, which made it look even nicer
oh, and as nice as Creek Club is, one of the lawns has a naala running right next to it and it stank up one side of the lawn aaaand thats where the food stands were so be careful with that

thats probabaly it! defense is literally on the other side from the rest of karachi... and considering the thick traffic, as well as how late most weddings finish up, i think its noble to be considerate of one's guests :)
