haha. and u know what? most of the wedding planners atleast in lahore rent it out from the furniture shops.. but i guess this lounge fashion is a trend thats caught on. you should be ok with it after you've been to a few such weddings.

I think this will also work well in a desi setup. But not when the bride is wearing a farshi gharara/sharara.

LOve your decore @ diamond..i also went in city lawn for my cousin's wed and believe me city lawn was awsum decore..everyone liked their way of work...everything was soo good :) your pictures remind me my cousin's marrige :)

my wedding venue was City Lawn North Nazimabad Karachi. All the deocration was done by them it was included in the lawn rent and all.
I am not really sure abt the cost as i never got involved in it but I think my dad paid Rs150,000/- . They change their decor after every 3 months. When we 1st booked it , the stage screen was rusty red , after 3 months it was blue and when i went there for my wedding it was green.

mahi, do you have pics of any setups that aren't done in pakistan? the stage decor is very different here in U.S, it's usually very indianish.

Hey girls,
I just booked my decorator this past weekend and have the designs we plan on using at all three events. I’ve posted pics of the backdrops we are using on mehndi, shaddi and valima, with off course some custom changes to make them look even better than what you see in the pics.
My mehndi outfit is all yellow with a lot of colors in it, so I wanted a simple backdrop with strips of colors going down…no drapping, just strips of colors because I want it to look totally different from the shaddi and valima ones. The concept will be similar to the mehndi backdrop pic I posted, however, all the strips will be the same length and the color will go like this: strip of yellow in the middle, two strips of green on either side, then two strips of orange, then two strips of red. The material will be gathered and have gher in it.
For shaddi, you can see the pic titled shaddi backdrop (second pic). It will be the same design, except where you see pink at the top, it will be red and where you see green, it will be gold. Also, the background will be off white, not pure white.
The valima backdrop is an ivory and turquoise color. The difference is the turquoise curtain border part will start at the ends of both sides, creating an overall frame, rather than starting in the middle. The turquoise color part will also be bigger, so it shows in the photos.
I’m so excited and releived we have the decor booked. Let me know what you think!
