Thank you so much for the kind help. I am not from here. I'm Malaysian, trying to marry a man from this gorgeous country of yours. But because he doesn't live here either so we're both stuck. His parents are just so happy we're finally getting married etc. etc. etc. so they really don't care either way.. they just want a fun shadi to party at, and grandkids to call their own! So, I guess it's really up to me to make this work - me while working in Lahore, not speaking a word of Urdu/Pashto.
So thank you for the hall suggestions. BECAUSE this wedding is so much for his parents, I want to have it in the village - They live near Pabbi (bet. Noushera/Peshawar). And because he is their one and only son, everyone who is everyone is invited - meaning, between my family/urban Lahore friends and village-traditional-Pashtun-guests - this is a wedding that has to be BOTH pleasing to the two very very different types of guests!
There will be separation bet. men and women, so we need a female photo/videographer. Because there will be guests from out of town and country, although we won't be using halls, the tent set-up MUST be comfy/pretty for everyone's comfort. We still have yet to decide which guesthouse to house all these out-of-towners, but preferably somewhere close-r to the soon-to-be-found beauty parlor so that between the getting ready/make-up and the commuting to and fro, it wouldn't be too hectic for the poor bride :] even BEFORE the actual shadi.
I like R-Sheen. I got a lovely party jora from there. I saw another suit last week at another wedding that was simply gorgeous from that same store. But I'm thankful I've already had the joras taken care of. I got 3 MOST beautiful dresses from Karma - Just had them fitted TODAY! I FINALLY FEEL the LOve of being an upcoming BRIDE (albeit being alone in my excitement)
so thank you for everything, but could anyone recommend anything else from this list:
- female photo/videographer
- BEAUTIFUL tent services
- OUT-Of-THis-World-Services Beaty Parlor :]
