I can only recommend depilex because that's where I went for my walima dolling up but can't say if they are better or worse than rivals as I have never tried them.
Having said that, my husbands niece got married last month in peshawar and she look stunning so will ask her where she went.
can u post ur pics or ur hubby neice if u dont mind in other case just let me know abt the salon name:)

Depilex is where most girls go to get their makeup done and the results vary. Makeup artist Shahana is highly recommended there as she is open to suggestions. I don't know whether she is still there or not. They have services, too, like facial, mani/pedi etc in their bridal package.
Aroobs in Hayatabad is absolutely superb. The beauty parlour is on the ground floor and the photo studio is located upstairs.

Rivals isn't a name of a salon (not that I know of) - I just meant rivals as in the literal sense.

Depilex is one of the best saloons in Peshawar. They are a lil expensive but they do a good job and have their own phtographer and studio so you can get the whole wedding portfolio done there too.

No matter which parlour you go to, you HAVE to keep on guiding them on how to do your makeup. When they're putting lipstick on you, you need to tell them how to do it, whether u want it to be outside the lips or not. When they're contouring your cheek bones, you need to tell them look I want it this way or that way.
If they're putting on too much foundation as you said, you need to tell them Look this is too much, can you please make it lighter.
How will they know your likes and dislikes if you dont tell them.
But if they just don't listen to you, thats a separate issue. Then u obviously should think about a different parlour.

I got my engagement makeup done from depilex peshawar n it looked too good :) but that was 5 yrs bak...dont knw abt their standard now....makeup was done by a lady who was both deaf n dumb but mashAllah veryy talented....dont knw her name...i had heard that she workd at the lahore saloon but was there by chance or luck :p at that tym...but she did a splendid job!

I had my reception done in Peshawar and the make-up was abaolutely superb and not to mention the photos - there were out of this world. The beauty parlour is called Aroobs and its located in Hayatabad - i am not too sure where you live though!
The beauty parlour is on the ground floor and the photo studio is located upstairs - the make-up and the photos set in a great album only cost me 18,000rps - Great bargain!

@ hina88 hi i m from peshawar, i did my engagement n wedding make up from depliex ie from shahan and photoshoot by her husband kaleem. they did a great job!! and r the best in peshawar. yes they do afghani brides!! just tell her before ur make up what kind u want. i just told her i dnt want dark blush on. shahana is very talented and does really nice make up
