sumiyia...do you know how much the kibriyas' charge and have you personally seen their work? what about their decorations? what did they look like? i'm hoping i can find someone affordable for decorations...if not i gotta gather my friends and get their help :). do you girls (sumiyia and pakyfairy) have contacts for people who rent out those fancy chairs, chaises, sofas, etc used for the stage setup??

i remember couture being out of our budget. we went with this one aunty who does a really nice job, i forget her name. she lives in chino hills. she was pretty affordable and did a pretty nice job… here’s some of her work:
as far as the “kibriyas” go for decoration… i’m only guessing. i know one of the sisters helped with the decorations for one recent wedding. i dont know if they do it professionally or have it as part of their services, you might have to find out. here’s what it looked like:

teehee.. those are from my wedding... lol... oh and her prices were pretty decent.. i think it was around $2500 for everything, chair covers and sashes, stage, aisle, flowers, centerpieces, bouttaniers for the guys, and i think the flower bracelets, bouqet, and the haars too... her name was ruksana... i'll try and get her contact info :)

i've heard disaster stories about ziba doing the makeup herself. however, there is a guy named oscar who works for ziba ( i think in the artesia store?) and he does an amaaazing job!

You girls in No CA should try out Picture Perfect Makeovers. Uses Mac and Chanel. No cheap makeup and no chance of anythign falling down. Even does hijabis

You have to email for the portfolio. But always go for a trial. Not everyone's pics are great. Depends who took them!!

I don't prefer Ziba either....they charge too much just because they have several branches and they aren't that good...but like nabz said there is Oscar who is really good...I have seen some of the work he has done....there is another lady who does makeup well too...I don't remember her name she is also from Artesia location.

i was going to try the pictureperfectmakeovers but after i saw their portfolio (they emailed me the link) i was disgusted! not one of the brides looked nice!

Don't be put off by the portfolio. She takes her own pics and admits shes a crap photographer. I know her personally since she's done every wedding in our family and lots of people we know. They have always been very happy. I recommend her to everyone I know. She really is good. You should try her out. Her portfolio has mainly Indians in it cos the Pakistanis won't let her put their pics online cos of hijab!!! And we all know how Indians like their makeup done....
