Same here!!!! I had set a budget of 50 K- 60,000 for my lehnga as well, however, it turned out it to cost me about 85,000. :( I live in the states so I will not be able to wear it that much either. which kind of sucks.

My case is that I want to wear a mexy lehnga which has much more fabric and flare to it than a regular lehnga. Since there is more fabric. it also requires more kaam, which drove the price up. :( My cousins looked a lot in karachi, but they could not find anyone to do it for less. ahhh! They just gave the order, so I hope it turns out nice for that kind of money spent on it!!!

i got my outfit from Mumbai, a showroom called millionaire. I customized it completely. So it looks like the Trendy lehnghas that are made in pakistan lately and its beautiful i got it for 57,000 indian rupees which is about $1,300 USD.

My wedding dress is currently in the making it cost around 13,000 dhs which is just over 2,000 pounds... but thats from a western bridal shop in Dubai which gives me multiple lining fittings before we make the actual dress...x

Mine is costing 400,000 rupees, around £3k. I hate the idea of spending so much on one outfit but because it's not red I'm hoping I will at least get some wear out of it.

did you get it made in karachi?

I was wondering, isnt it possible to find open fabric that already has sitara or gem work on it? One can use that type of fabric to make a gharara and then add laces to make it fancy, no? probably not for wedding day, but for occasions like dholak or mehndi...
