I got my nose pierced a few months ago just so I can wear one on my wedding. It looks so traditional and gorgeous. Go for it!

Personally i realy like them, i think it adds a finishing touch to a bride, especially if your wearing the traditional red and gold.
How long before the wedding does everyone reccomend getting nose pierced?

agree with veer zaara, it depends on th lengha u chose. PF and Shay wore dark colours and they didnt wear a nath and both looked gorg without it!

I wore the nath on my wedding day as well it looked so traditional and beautiful you should go for it
Though I remember as my make up artist was putting the nath on me I started to bleed and it hurt sooo bad but once I saw my hubby everything was ok :-)

what about after the wedding... when the func was over and you had to take the nath out, wasn't it painful then too..?

i found it was a RELIEF.. since I couldnt get the nath on in the first place.. apparently my nost-stud (the little diamond one) popped out of my nose at night and closed the hole from the inside.. so i had to literally JAB the nosering in and have my nose and lips redone by the makeup artist.. it was such a pain!

Veer zaara it was a little painfulbut then again I have EXTREMELY sensitive skin and my husband was standing there watching me attempting to help so it was a bit embarassing lol
But now I look at the pictures and I can honestly say that it was well worth the pain!!

I refused to wear one on my wedding. They remind of slavery and cows with rings in their noses. A bit like ownership. Nothing pretty about them when you think of it like that

I want to wear a nathni for my wedding day. Problem is I haven't pierced my nose and I don't think I will. Is there any way to wear one anyways?
Those clip-ons are too small, I would love to wear a big (but thin) ring.

its hard to estimate the size from the pic, there is no frame of reference.

What you can do is buy those tiny clip on nose rings and wear the nath with that. They look quite real and are completely stuck on the nose.. not like a hoop.

^lol, no hun, im sure it would work fine. try doing a 'trial' by wearing it for a couple of hours with the nathni. do you know any place where you can buy it from?
