Only the first time. Now I’m a pro. :smokin:

I had it professionally done before by my friend who nearly took off my entire armpit along with the hair. I decided that it is best to do such regions myself … and the body sugar I use is very good! The hair has gotten a lot lighter.

PCG, the colour could be dark cause you have ingrowns? I have not had this problem. The only way I can think of it getting dark is if the wax is boiling hot and you burn your own skin.

take a few advil or tylenol pills before you start, and put some powder on the area to be waxed

And I HATE waxing, I am honestly considering laser hair removal but for now sally hansen wax strips, i tried the gel thing but its too messy n i am no expert. I tried epilator N I HATED IT!

Err my skin there was always dark, since childhood... i dun quite remmeber, but i dun like how dark they ar now.. so waxing will lighten it??

pcg-- use scrubs after you shave. this will certainly diminish the darkened coloring.

ladies- use scrubs for your elbows and armpits immediately after shave/wax and then moisturize. the results are aaamazingg:blush:

same way u get rid of blackheads…squeeze em out…but when u get rid of the ingrowns…it leaves marks…so i dunno bout that

Okay, one other question. :blush:

Once you’re done waxing, do the strips have to be thrown away or can they be re-used somehow? After using it the wax hardens pretty fast. And its such a pity really because these strips are so darn expensive, and they’re nice too. Do you just microwave them and wash them off while the wax is wet…and what if the wax eventually over time clogs the drain?

i have the veet refills for the roll on. But i don't have the actually roll on (waterbath) is it possible to place the refill in a glass of hot water and use a spatula to apply the wax. If i can do this, wht is the best possible way to store the wax that i haven't used?

lol PCG taht was cute!

I usually reuse the strips. Soak them in warm water and wash the wax off. Then just wash the strips in soapy water. I dont know what happens if and when the wax clogs the drains though. Cant help you there.

One more question...
for waxing underarms...do u have to wait till the hair
grows a bit like u would have to for other body parts??

Oh yeah!

That's the other question I have. How long does the hair have to be when you re-wax yourself? Like, does it hurt more if you're waxing small stubs, or if you wait for it to get longer?
