I don't know what you folks are talking about. Yes, the hemlines might have gotten shorter, but in comparison to what you see in other countries, I still feel our television is fairly conservative. As for holding hands, etc, it is often shown between a married couple (TV married, not necessarily real life married), and that's part of showing the basic bonding between a couple. And quite frankly, with how sexually uptight Pakistani families are, its quite healthy to see that sort of thing. Maybe it'll have a good influence, and get people to stop thinking about how ethical suicide bombing can be!

Anyway.

The other point I wanted to make is simple: You don't like it, don't watch it. People are pumping money into these dramas, because the ratings are high. When they put on more conservative less flashy dramas, the ratings dip. Therefore, YOU GUYS are responsible for what you're seeing. Your own brethren are preferring to watch these dramas. How do you stop it? Don't watch it. Simple.

For me, the appeal of dramas is pretty dead now, not because of the skin I'm seeing, but because the creativity and art is practically gone. So, what do I do? I don't watch. I have friends and relatives who have subscribed to it, so I'll see stuff when I'm over their houses. But otherwise, I don't have a subscription. I'd rather spend that money on a good netflix subscription.

AliUsman...i understand what u r saying..i also find some of these new dramas a little too open for my taste..nd i was born n raised in canada..so i sure hope theyre not making these dramas more vulgar for us..ny wayz..i guess what we can do is just not watch these programs..n mayb theyll understand when theyr rating go down..but other than that..what can we really do?...write a petition?..do u think it will help..will they really care?..i doubt it.

Yes, Only pakistani ppl who own a TV and watch soaps with a lil bit of skin showing and the crib about it are allowed to write here. The rest can go to Canada and where ever they feel like............

In this drama i was watching on ptv ‘mishaal’ i saw that this girl she was wearing really tight pants and she was walking towards someone.. the camera zoomed in and focused a bit on her “backside”

i was so disgusted:disgust: did not expect this from pakistani television at all.

Because it is a private production!! intentially they do these things.

Now valgarity in dramas increases. The following points are common in dramas now.
1 women with tight cloths. Tight Pants
2 If shalwar qameez. Then very short qameez, and some times camera goes like this you can see upper part of shalwar below the qameez. Before such camera work was not there.
3 open qameez from the neck.
4 Man touching the body of girls.
5 face expression of desire to kiss.
6 actoress dont take care to correct the qameez while standing or sitting, some time they open the legs in a wrong manner.
7 rain scene and wet clothes and on the beach.etc
8 bedroom scene man and woman on the bed close to each other. holding each other hand etc
9 hug scene

Accidentally, I decided to watch ARY. It was a drama serial where Samina peerzada was pregnant and her step daughter got married after the pregnancy of her step mom I absolutely hate these scenes.

Before hero and heroine were stay at a distance now they are coming closer and closer to each other. Now heroine sits on the motorbike with hero same like man and come closer to hero. Before no one can tough the thigh of a lady. Now you can see hand on thigh of a lady, some times rubbing the thigh. Some times palm on the knee, arm on the thigh and elbow on the ankle

I find it funny how some people are so confused. especially wen they say stuff like oh 'I'm very modern because I wear skimpy dresses'. LOL. only a person with low IQ can say that rubbish.

well zardaro is a big time debauch so is yousuf raza gillani. don't expect too much from these people.
I think artists should have a self-censor as well. most of the people who're making dramas today don't know the abc of this art.
