Vitamins: do you take them?

What kind of vitamins do you all take and how often do you take them?

Re: Vitamins: do you take them?

pregnacare-daily :]

Re: Vitamins: do you take them?

Multivitamins once or twice a week. If you eat enough fruits and veggies you don't need to pop a pill everyday. I'm not sure what kind; my dad buys them and I just steal a few :)

Re: Vitamins: do you take them?

vit C, B12, B.
daily.

Re: Vitamins: do you take them?

Why? ^

Re: Vitamins: do you take them?

Materna daily. You can take them when you're not pregnant, multiple doctors have confirmed this. Your body will just flush out what it doesn't need.

Re: Vitamins: do you take them?

I eat a multivitamin, iron, biotin and saw palmetto. I sometimes take Omega-3 as well.

well why not....???
and since we are on the subject. I also take zinc and calcium.

but i do get off from vits/supplements for 2 weeks after 6 weeks. so that 2 weeks non pill/powder whatsoever.

Re: Vitamins: do you take them?

Why take off 2 weeks? I think my doctor once mentioned something about eating them for 3 months and stopping for 3 months but do elaborate because I eat that stuff to because of low iron and thinning hair.

Re: Vitamins: do you take them?

I've been taking GNC brand Silica & Biotin, and Genuine health's multivit pills for about a week not. I was not expecting any miracles or magic happening when I started it but I've noticed my nails, which used to be paper thin and flimsy, are much stronger and shinier these days. The other noticeable difference has been in my skin. It looks more radiant now and pore size seem to be diminishing greatly.

Re: Vitamins: do you take them?

I take Optilets M . It's a local Pakistan made multi vitamin but has proved to work best for me .

Re: Vitamins: do you take them?

I take multivitamins and a high pure strength 1000mg Omega 3 - it has helped my skin, hair and general immune system. Alhamdulillah since I have started eating healthy and taking vitamins I haven't been ill or caught anything once.

Normally i would catch a cold/flu so easily every other month and it's been totally freezing as well. My asthma has been under control and I've got a very good sleeping pattern. Bear in mind that I am also pregnant so alhamdulillah it's amazing what natural foods and some good vitamins can do for the human body.

I take vitamins for hairs its very good u have to take 2 a day for three months its name is omnivit

Re: Vitamins: do you take them?

Jamieson Regular Vita-Vim. I take it every other day instead of daily though

Re: Vitamins: do you take them?

Prenatals/folic acid and Vitamin D (deficency)

I just started to take daily vitamins. The box says (taken straight off the box) it helps to promote healthy:

  • sugar, fat and energy metabolism
  • immune function
  • heart health
  • bone health
  • antioxidant support

I just want better skin and hair :woho:

Does anyone know where I can get biotin/halaal gelatin/collagen supplement pills? It’s supposed to be very good for hair, skin, and nails!

Not sure if specifically available what you asked, but GNC store does carry non-gelatin vitamins.

Taking daily multivitamins is good. But some packages of vitamin make you eat 15 pills a day and are ridiculus.

Fat soluble Vitamins like A, D, E do not get out of body and too much of those are harmful. We get those from daily food items anyway. Vitamin B group are water soluble and get flushed out of body if excessive.

We do not always eat balanced diet with fruit/fresh vegetables, so it is better to take multivitamins daily with low amount.

Vitamin industry is not strictly regulated so amount written may not be correct. User discretion is advised. :)

Re: Vitamins: do you take them?

I took Vitamin C for skin as I used to break out a lot during my late teen years. but i think what really helped my skin is just eating healthier, i don't think the vitamins made an impact but then again i don't have any patience to actually attribute any changes to the vitamins as i used it only for a month and didn't notice a difference.
