Violence explodes across North Karachi

Are you a Taliban?(Sarcasm)

Anybody who pastes anything against mqm automatically becomes a Taliban here. Typical Mqm strategy !

Re: Violence explodes across North Karachi

Spock.. comprehension issues?

keyword: random. reread my post please.

Anybody who pastes anything against Talibs automatically becomes a pro-MQM here. Typical BRNN (Bitter Reality News Network) strategy

Intelligence issues?

You are implying political workers are not involved in 'random' ethnic clashes. They are buddy, the MQM has trouble makers at grass root levels, and the ANP does too. When someone burns a bus belonging to some pashtun, he has some political backing and incentive to do so. Also, the police chief has clearly labelled this as an ethnic issue (random or not random), not some imaginary taliban or landmafia related.

Its not random , nothing came from the blues...it was well planned and masterminded

Do you know the difference between random and planned?

random is something without any warning, planning and well defined boundaries.....Sir G whats going on in karachi is not Random!

So the police chief who thinks otherwise belongs to the Taliban too?

Re: Violence explodes across North Karachi

MQM is denying its involvement and has made a mockery of itself by saying that this is some property clash...what a joker yaar!

Re: Violence explodes across North Karachi

This is all very unfortunate. I remember the common belief back in the 90s was, when you go to Karachi "have a plan" because people were scared to death about who might rob them/kill them in broad daylight.

I recently heard a minister of PPP call for an operation in Karachi, saying that it might be the one solution and maybe used to disperse/catch the criminals. This was said on a talkshow with a representative of MQM present as well.

How many people actually favor an operation?

Ofcourse its an ethnic issue, problems in Karachi, esp involving MQM always are atleast ethnic, in addition to any of the optional financial/religious/political factors.

I am not implying that political workers arent involved in random clashes. The only point I was making was that two guys in the area we live in were gunned down. Had they been regular muhajirs or some pashtun, it wouldnt necessarily indicate planning, just the regular ethnic stuff that happens. Fact that they were both party workers *suggests *calculation.

why do you guys argue even when you agree???
all of you are saying that it is not 'random' violence, but planned

Yes I favor an operation the same like General Retired Naseerullah Baber did...to disperse these terrorists

So I can cite a personal example from a family member. Five Star at North Nazimabad, a popular (but cheap) spot for soft drinks belonging to ordinary pathans was lynched. It belonged to 'regular' pathans.

Re: Violence explodes across North Karachi

when did this happen?

Re: Violence explodes across North Karachi

right, so u start with some party workers on both sides and escalate it so it envelopes both communities, its targeted, planned, to have ethnic riots in the city, to what outcome we can only guess. All we can hope for is that saner heads prevail and ghundas of all shape size and groups are dealt with in the strictest possible way

know five star very well, was a popular place after cricket games in the cricket grounds by L block

Re: Violence explodes across North Karachi

correct Mister Sinister, thats the feeling I have too.

I also think its calculated to derail the growing public support to deal with the militancy in the north once and for all. the smart thing for MQM/ANP both is to take whatever beating is coming their way for now.

Re: Violence explodes across North Karachi

MQM is showing its true blackmailing colours now!

Police conspiring to launch 92-like operation: MQM - GEO.tv

"…The committee warned that MQM would take an extreme step if IG Sindh and CCPO Karachi were not removed.

The Rabita Committee further alleged that IG Sindh Salahuddin Babar had been patronizing the land and drug mafias in the city. No action was taken against the land and drug mafia despite the fact that they were identified, it said…"

Its really hilarious. They are in the provincial government and city government and still crying. MQM has stooped too low now, scoring political points at this critical time.

2-3 Days ago, first day of the violence when the 30 people were killed.

Not really, one side starts it, other reacts. In this case, the other one is weaker, not in power, and its supporters poor and mostly uneducated.

^ what do you think the goal is?

i would presume that this would be when the violence broadened. you only need to trigger this, and let nature take its course after that.

The elimination of Pakhtuns from Karachi altogether or crushing their strongholds in certain areas as the min., by sparking an armed conflict with them, shutting the international community up by calling them Taliban (something semi don/mayyyor mustaf kamal has been working on).

ill be back after a while to answer any further questions.
