Will the government in Islamic countries allow a teacher if she wants to teach in mini skirt or skimpy clothes? If not then I rest my case.

^ ur argument is correct. Unfortunately these countries have uptill now shown that they are tolerant of other beliefs. Now if they want to "BAN" something let them do it officially so that atleast the ppl can decided whether they want to live there anymore or not..

Theres no such thing as over dressing, there is such thing as under dressing. Evaluate the two and see which one is dangerous, a girl seeing her teacher covered, she heads off home and also decides to cover herself the next day (not necessarily with a veil). A girl sees a teacher half naked, she returns the next day dressed in such a way that perverts in a nearby pub are watching her. I too rest my case lolz...

Not even a sane non muslim, would prefer a person in skimpy clothes to tutor his kids. Stop comparing ghairat with baghairati, they are not the same.
The rules of Islam apply everywhere, what is right in an Islamic country is right in an unislamic country too.

Not at all I dislike intolerance of any kind be it non islamic or islamic. I believe she has a right to wear whatever she wants as does anybody else.
I agree if their government don't want this kind of clothes they should ammend their rules. Then if people don't like it they can decide wether to live with it or not.

Man your lolz is totally wrong because this is serious topic. I agree with you on wrong image it gives to the pupil. All I was trying to say this kind of incidents are happening everywhere in a different way.
I was trying to say if this woman is allowed to wear whatever she wants so does the woman who don't. Now how would you justify that. Law do not or should not descriminate, it should be same for all.

True no sane person would allow skimpy clothes. At the same time many won't agree with extremists teaching the children as well.
It's rather a comparison between tolerance and intolerance. And as you said truely they are not same.
Your comment what is right in Islamic country is right everywhere is same as the extremists of other religions try google george bush.
You are wrong; rules of Islam maybe right but only apply in the countries who want to implement it.

Listen we shouldn't be arguing about anything. The point is, she should be allowed to wear what she likes because of the freedom of practising her religion is a right untill of course she is a threat to society or anyone else. The bottom line is, she didn't do anything wrong, and they didn't inform her she couldn't wear the viel when she applied for the job so she was in my eyes unfairly sacked.
EVEN IF IS IT IS NOT FARD UPON HER, OR SHE IS DOING FOR EXTRA REWARD, SHE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO PRACTISE HER RELIGION AS CLOSE TO THE BOOK AS SHE WANTS.

You forgot to highlight the "that is most convenient".
I don't see a shuttle burqa as convenient. I can't think of anyone that would. People don't wear them for convenience. They wear them to make a statement. Shallow, IMHO.

I am not saying that women who do not wear niqab, burqa, abaya are destined for hell or women who does wear one is going to heaven, but for some reason you seem to know every one's intention.

i have one khala who does the whole burqa and niqab thing, because she feels it is right. she is not proclaiming anything, to her it is just as much of a to do as it is for me to dress properly. by saying all burqa wearers are there making a statement is in line with ppl saying girls in revealing clothing are asking for it type of nonsense.

Please read the whole story: This lady went for an interview WITHOUT any hijab/burqha - now she wsuddenly doe'nt want any male to see her?? If this is not shallow, I don't know what is.

PCG Just because you don’t see the ‘Shuttle bhurka’ as convenient, it DOES NOT MEAN the females that wear it are shallow. Haha it’s amazing how even muslim females cannot stick up for other muslim women who are trying to live by Islam.
They are much better than us, now even if we do not wear Burkha/abaaya/hijaab we must always agree with it because ALLAH SWT has commanded it, and anything that Allah said is correct, and even if we don’t do it we cannot disagree with it or say that women who wear it are shallow. The wives of Rasulallah SAW used to cover themselves like this, shall we start judging them as well Nauzubillah?
We cannot start disrespecting / looking down/ judging people on the basis on how they look, similarly we can’t judge a girl who doesn’t wear hijaab because we don’t know her heart only ALLAH swt does. On one hand you expect people not to judge you because you don’t wear a hijaab and on the other hand you yourself are judging these women who wear the burkha?!!! Talk about double standards!!
