lol at this threadwhen i worked in the bank, this old asian man bless him said paise jamma karwane ne... i was like err ok give it to me... he goes i need a room to take money out.... i was like huh?! and hes like yeh they r hidden inside... i was like we dont provide a room service like that!!!! he went behind one of the signboards and i cud c him puttin his hand inside his clothes takin money out.... eugh!! i made sure i didnt serve him!! I dnt wanna b touchin that money lol

Dupatta with money tied at the end of it - any pickpocket in Karachi would have a heyday.

I don't think they do coins. That would be uncomfortable and could you imagine how much that would weigh you down.

There's a special belt they wear around the waist here in Pakistan when transporting large amounts of cash.

I've only ever seen women take money etc out of pockets in their shameez .. Much more dignified imo

It happens all over the world.
Old women storing money, tissues etc in their bra (disgusting I know).
I think its an old womans thing?
I always feel so sorry for the shop keeper when the woman does that.

Yep I've seen it and I've seen the secret behind the coin keeping too ... When I was younger I used to spend time in a Sikh neighbours place when my folks were at work. There were just two of them a woman and her younger sister. Her younger sister was about six years my senior and she herself was like sort of about 15 years younger than my Dad.

She was quite buxom and I remember her sewing something which clearly was a pocket into the lining of her bra, with a click button.

What was funny was that every now and again they used to take us to Southall broadway and when she lunged in to pull out some cash the shopkeeper used to look down her cleavage until she pulled something out. From what I remember the cash was damp, but the shopkeeper didn't batter an eyelid ... I only remembered this after TLK mentioned it.

Now I'm thinking about it .... I'm not sure where the pocket was ... either on a slip or on the outside of the bra ... I was too young I can't remember ...
