some stats on muslim voters

A database of more than 500,000 Muslim voters has been developed for the battleground states of Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio and Florida and will be used to help elect Sen. John Kerry, said Muki Hossain, president of the Muslim American Political Action Committee. And on Monday, a coalition of 10 Muslim organizations is expected to make its presidential endorsement.

Estimates of Muslim voters in the United States range between 1 million and 3.5 million. Kerry’s campaign would be helped by a large Muslim turnout, according to a survey conducted in September by Zogby International and Georgetown University. It showed 76% support for Kerry in the American Muslim community.

rest of the article

that means at least 24% Pakistanis in the US are making over 200 grand.. good going :k:

how did you get that number?

^ In first post it say It showed 76% support for Kerry in the American Muslim community. That means 24% oppose Kerry.
According to PA only those people will support Kerry who make less than 200k. Because Kerry will increase taxes on 200k plus individuals.
But I disagree because there are other reasons for muslims not to support Bush mainly Iraq war.

Bush Opens Four-Point Lead on Kerry -Reuters Poll

Are they watching same Debate as we did.
America is really dumb. They deserve Bush.

http://cnn.netscape.cnn.com/news/story.jsp?maxphotos=5&phototerm=Bush&idq=/ff/story/0002/20041015/0714962014.htm&photoid=20041014ORRB107&floc=NW_1-T

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President George W. Bush opened a four-point lead on Democratic Sen. John Kerry the day after the final debate between the White House rivals, according to a Reuters/Zogby poll released on Friday.

Bush led Kerry 48-44 percent in the latest three-day tracking poll, which included one night of polling done after Wednesday’s debate in Tempe, Arizona. Bush led Kerry, a senator from Massachusetts, by only one point, 46-45 percent, the previous day.

An improvement in Bush’s showing among undecideds and a strong response from his base Republican supporters helped fuel the president’s rise.

“The good news for the president is that he has improved his performance among the small group of undecideds,” said pollster John Zogby, who found 6 percent of likely voters are undecided. “Nearly a quarter now say that he deserves to be re-elected, up from 18 percent in our last poll.”

Zogby said the difference between Kerry’s 79 percent support among Democrats and Bush’s 89 percent support from Republicans also should be “worrisome” for Kerry in such a tight race.

“Kerry needs to close the deal with his fellow Democrats,” Zogby said.

Both candidates headed to the swing state of Nevada in upbeat mood on Thursday after their final debate and renewed their battle during separate appearances in Las Vegas over who was best suited to lead the middle class to prosperity.

The focus of the race now turns to less than a dozen crucial battleground states, with Ohio, Florida, Wisconsin and Iowa – where Bush and Kerry are running neck and neck – all certain to see plenty of the candidates down the stretch.

The new tracking poll found Bush pulling into a tie with Kerry among Catholics and women voters, and moving slightly ahead with young voters. Kerry still holds a solid lead among seniors.

The poll of 1,220 likely voters was taken Tuesday through Thursday and has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.9 percentage points. The rolling poll will continue through Nov. 1 – the day before the election.

A tracking poll combines the results of three consecutive nights of polling, then drops the first night’s results each time a new night is added. It allows pollsters to record shifts in voter sentiment as they happen.

The poll showed independent candidate Ralph Nader, blamed by some Democrats for drawing enough votes from Al Gore to cost him the election in 2000, with the support of 1.1 percent of likely voters.

It's a poll, simmer down. They change everyday, yesterday Kerry was leading. There are dozens of polls saying different things almost daily.

Re: Bush Opens Four-Point Lead on Kerry -Reuters Poll

I agree F&B, Americans deserve Bush…They don’t deserve an intellectual president…I am sure that 90 percent of the Americans do not even understand the Kerry’s philosophy of passing the “Global Test” before invading another country. They need a cowboy or a "Texas Ranger’. Some one at this forum quoted a great statement:

“Americans do not mind a president which drives them to a ditch as long as he does not blink while driving them to the ditch"

Guess what. Mr. Bush did a great job in driving America into Iraq’s ditch and yes, he did not blink even once. He does all of his blinking during debates and press conferences…………

Re: Re: Bush Opens Four-Point Lead on Kerry -Reuters Poll

So true…
:rotfl:

No matter how dumb and stupid Bush is “he speaks from his heart”
Can you believe this non-sense? What kind of people are they?

Bush shall win according to one prediction

This is a message I was forwarded in my email. Lets see how true it comes out to be. Here goes...

The upcoming U.S. Presidential election takes place at a crucial time in the history of the human race. Everyone knows that America is the only Super Power. This means whoever becomes the President is going to decide the course of human history. Not only are there wars everywhere in the Middle East, Africa, etc., but also killer diseases like AIDS are causing major problems for human survival. The depleting ozone layer and global warming are potentially threatening to the existence of the planet. The U.S. election is taking place in the midst of all of this.

Who is going to win? The polls go up and down. No one knows what will be the outcome. But let us find out what the planets are saying according to Vedic astrology.

George Bush is currently running his Saturn dasha, or major planetary period. Out of the 19 years of the Saturn dasha, Bush still has 1.5 more years that will be heavily influenced by Saturn. His Saturn period ends on May 15th of 2006. Saturn has the ability to destroy a person or make him a king.

Bush’s life is a testament to the positive influence Saturn can bring. Since Saturn entered into Bush’s life on May 16th, 1987, everyday proved to be miraculous. In 1988, he was appointed to advise his father’s Presidential campaign as a paid advisor. Bush bought an equity position in the Texas Rangers using money received from this advisory position. The investment of $600,000 turned into a profit of $14 million dollars. Bush was elected as the Governor of Texas and was subsequently reelected for a 2nd term. It was during this time that Saturn put the idea in Bush’s mind that he should compete in the upcoming Presidential election. The $14 million profit in cash from selling the Texas Rangers helped fund campaign expenses.

Saturn would seem to have more miracles in store for him. On September 5, 2004, Saturn moved into Cancer, the sign where he was located when Bush was born almost 60 years ago. This movement into Cancer happens at a crucial time. America will be steeped in the race for the President. Undoubtedly this is a very favorable movement for Bush. This is not the regular pattern of movement for Saturn. Interestingly enough, Saturn moves back into Gemini on January 13, 2005. Evidently, by this time the election will have been over and the new President sworn in. It is possible that Saturn could be instrumental in Bush being re-elected to serve a 2nd term.

Currently, Bush is running a Jupiter bhukti (minor planetary period) in Saturn’s dasha. The movement of Jupiter into Virgo on August 27, 2004 was bound to bring divine grace into play during the election, as this movement will find Jupiter looking directly at Bush’s 9th House of Luck. Also, Mars, the ruler of his 10th House of leadership and career success, will be in Libra during the election. From this position, Mars will be aspecting, i.e. exactly opposite, his own house of Aries. Through this aspect, Mars will be focused and supporting Bush’s leadership battle. The Sun will also be in Libra during the election. Mars and the Sun aspecting the same house will give extra help for Bush to win.

Further, on November 9th, Election Day, the Moon occupies the same sign, Virgo, as in Bush’s natal chart. The moon is only a few degrees from his birth star, Chitra. Birth star days are powerful days. When the final elections votes are being counted during the early morning hours of November 10th, the Moon will be riding Bush’s birth star bringing good luck for him.

The planets do not seem to favor John Kerry. Kerry is born under a Scorpio rising sign. Truly he has all the characteristics of Mars, who is the ruler of Scorpio. He was born into a military family on a military base in Colorado, and famously served in the military – while Mars is the warrior planet. His looks also reflect the Mars influence; he is tall, thin, and drawn.

Kerry’s Venus is in Libra; it is very strong but in the 12th House. This placement explains his marrying Teresa Heinz, who is a billionaire. He will suddenly have all the material comforts of the world. But what about his chances for getting elected? It looks grim.

Kerry is currently running his Mercury dasha (major planetary period) and Mercury bhukti (minor planetary period). Mercury, being the ruler of Kerry’s obstacle-ridden 8th House of Gemini, is not going to give him a lot of good things, although it also is the ruler of his 11th House of Profit. The 8th house is the house of obstacles and losses, and the 11th the house of gains and with Mercury ruling both means that the planet cannot help you win or lose. Further, Mercury bhukti and Mercury dasha is a troublesome period.

The 10th House governs career. The Sun, who is the 10th House ruler (of Leo) for Kerry’s Scorpio rising chart, becomes debilitated, or weakened, during the election. Ironically the Sun moves into Libra on October 16th through November 15th. This means something will happen during this time that will be very detrimental for Kerry.

Now, let’s see what happens to Mars, who is the controlling planet for Scorpio. Mars also moves into Libra during this critical time of the election. This is not good news for Kerry. By having his most powerful ruling planet Mars, move from the fortunate 11th house of gains, pleasures, and influence into the 12th house of losses, renunciation and confusion, indicates that Kerry will not have Mars’ support at the time of the election. The cumulative effect of Mercury dasha, along with Sun and Mars in Libra, will make it difficult for Kerry to win.

How about one word as well:

FRAUD!

there is one problem though.....unfortunately the election day is Novmber 2nd..........so what now....bush will lose and kerry will win.....hurrrahhhh

Bush will win, for the simple, and yet unfortunate, reason that Kerry is a boring, dull, muppet.

Bush is stupid, dumb, puppet.

True, but my level of confidence in the American voter makes me think they'll choose a stupid, dumb, puppet over a boring, dull, muppet :(

Re: Re: Bush Opens Four-Point Lead on Kerry -Reuters Poll

PD :k:

:rotfl:

76-100 = 24
what PA is assuming that 24% of the Pakistani Americans (not just Muslim Americans) are earning 200K or more and thus automatically support Bush cos they like his tax policies. I think i read that 2% of american population is earning 200K or more annually. So these 24%
Pakistanis must be somehow in that 2% stat. Something doesnt sound right.

on the other hand, the more likely scenario for Pakistanis toi support Bush is that they prolly think Bush staying in power is beneficial for Pakistan and Mush or they prolly like Bush's conservative stance on gay marriage, homosexuality etc.
