US calls for immediate release of diplomat in Pakistan

Re: Foreigner kills three in Lahore

Likewise you will find most of Pakistan is just as safe, so your point is?

Re: US calls for immediate release of diplomat in Pakistan

One thing is clear this guy and others like him, i.e. CIA and it's outsourced private contractors, can't be operating without ISI's approval/knowledge, hence it goes all the way to the desk of Mush's protege, Kiani...

That is why Kiani summoned Malik to have a chat on this one individual, which goes to show how beholden the former is to American directions (also made abundantly clear in the diplomatic leaks)...

More then Zardari the biggest American stooge in Pakistan is none other then Kiani...

Re: Foreigner kills three in Lahore

Do you live in the US? I doubt it.

Im not living in Pak, but over the past three years, I have familly members who had items stolen from them right on the street. I know one family that had a home invasion, in which masked men with guns came barging into their home.

We have had countless suicide bombings now. And the list goes on and on.

The safety your referring to is relative. In Pakistan, your safer relative to other countries where religious fanatics are running around everywhere, and where poverty and inflation have killed incomes to such an extent that everyone is literally eating each other alive.

Re: US calls for immediate release of diplomat in Pakistan

^ Brother Pakistan is a hundred times safer than Columbia or Mexico... far safer than Phillipines and even Romania has a higher street crime rate and that country is in Europe!

Will you guys stop trying to make Pakistan sound like such a hellhole... it might be in Peshawar and Lahore etc but that is not a fifth of the country and in terms of saftey I know many places that are far worse... Hong Kong is probably worse than Pakistan in terms of crime....

so show some pride in your homeland for crying out loud.

Re: US calls for immediate release of diplomat in Pakistan

Thats what I said mera bhai. Its RELTIVELY safer. You cant compare Pakistan to the US. Pakistan is in the middle of a war zone. Its only relatively safe compared to other countries ravaged by such problems.

Re: US calls for immediate release of diplomat in Pakistan

Well now you can hardly expect a country like Pakistan to rival the US anyway could you? At least not anytime soon… but it could happen you know.

Re: US calls for immediate release of diplomat in Pakistan

No, diploamtic immunity for this guy, finally proven. next line of defense please.

http://www.dawn.com/2011/01/30/arrested-us-national-does-not-have-diplomatic-visa-documents.html

A new twist in the Raymond Davis saga has come to the fore, as DawnNews exclusively reveals vital information related to the accused.
Travel Documents exclusively obtained by DawnNews reveal that Raymond Davis who is allegedly involved in the killing of two Pakistani citizens is not on a diplomatic visa.
According to the documents it is also revealed that Davis was issued a two-year extension to his last visa from the interior ministry in Islamabad which was the third time he received a Pakistani visa.
The travel documents also disclose that this was Davis’s ninth trip to Pakistan.
The US Embassy had first claimed that Raymond Davis was a staff member of the US Consulate in Lahore.
The embassy then retracted their statement and called him a diplomat and finally on Sunday the embassy stated that the US diplomat detained in Lahore is a member of the Embassy’s technical and administrative staff, and therefore entitled to full criminal immunity and cannot be lawfully arrested or detained in accordance with the Vienna convention of 1963.
Another surprising twist to the story saw the US State Department spokemman P.J Crowley claiming that the actual name of the suspect has not been revealed, however the travel documents clearly show the name to be Raymond Allen Davis.

Re: US calls for immediate release of diplomat in Pakistan

Well if he has diplomatic immunity Pakistan does not have much choice in releasing him. However, if there is substantial evidence to suggest he did kill them with intention then Pakistan can ask the US to drop his diplomatic status and be tried in the court. However, this is unlikely. US does not sell her people out unlike our "dear" Pakistani leaders.

Re: US calls for immediate release of diplomat in Pakistan

Bingo!!! Not a diplomat. Fry his ass.

Re: US calls for immediate release of diplomat in Pakistan

No no dont fry him… he might be so greasy he will fry too quickly… you ammetuers :stuck_out_tongue:

No no this guy’s pain should be far worse… he should be swapped for a woman… :rotfl:

Re: US calls for immediate release of diplomat in Pakistan

Why not.

Re: US calls for immediate release of diplomat in Pakistan

^ Man it's late here and I have not the time to discuss 60+ years of Pakistani history and the failings of a nation.

Re: US calls for immediate release of diplomat in Pakistan

If he is not a diplomat, and the embassy has been claiming he is, surely there ought to be recourses taken against the embassy? What would happen in the real world?

Re: US calls for immediate release of diplomat in Pakistan

Nothing will happen in the end.
There is a mine post, nobody bothered. Read that on page 4.
Our Islamic laws provide great facility.
There will be soon a "Razi namh"راضی نامہ
(For some money or some visas)
And he will back at home.

Re: US calls for immediate release of diplomat in Pakistan

Razi Namh could be the case for Ibad ur rehman who was run over by a vehicle , which came to rescue ..

but there is another twist or theory - which says the other two fellas could be undercover Pakistani Agents .

In that case , I dont think the razi namh will work !

Re: US calls for immediate release of diplomat in Pakistan

More and more proof that he is in fact not a diplomat.

Re: US calls for immediate release of diplomat in Pakistan

the whole world knows by now that he was not a diplomat but an agent with a history full of offensive records, and some people are still eager to give him immunity

Re: US calls for immediate release of diplomat in Pakistan

this keeps getting complicated not a simple case of “self defense”…and what of that second car and driver that ran over an innocent man? whats the defense there? no word on him being turned over by the embassy, very callous of the americans to not co operate with the authorities, arrogant pricks!

**LAHORE: A First Information Report (FIR) was registered on Monday against US citizen Raymond Davis for using an illegal weapon when he gunned down two men in Lahore.
The case against Davis has been registered on the investigation officer’s statement.
Davis is in the custody of the Lahore Police and is being questioned. Earlier, Davis was awarded a six-day physical remand by a court in Lahore.
Police have sent their investigation report to the Punjab government. ** The report states that Davis, the US embassy and the consulate in Lahore are not cooperating with the police. It states the officials concerned have not replied to a questionnaire sent to them. The report also claims that the Americans have not given the police information on the driver of a vehicle that ran over a third person during the incident.

Meanwhile, the Punjab government is set to inform the federal government of its investigations till now. It is also in contact with the US embassy and the consulate.
Senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders including the chief minister, IG Punjab and the Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore are meeting to discuss the police report.
Earlier, Pakistan had rejected the US demand to release Davis, saying that sub judice in a court of law and the legal process should be respected

Re: US calls for immediate release of diplomat in Pakistan

What’s funny is how the brown sahibs here tried very hard to automatically assume and contend as to how he was innocent :hehe:
