Words like Moray, Toray, rarely used except in songs. Kaahay is still in use!

**Hazrat Amir Khusrau [r.a.] ke kia hii kahne…thank you for a nice folk song…one of the best ever written.

in this song the khaRii boli or the Brij bhaashaa is used and among the lower castes Hindus and backward class amongh Muslims use these words in their normal conversation…this is also used in awadhii zabaaneN…like in Lucknow/Allahabad areas in India. Amitabh in the movie Adalat used this language and he used these words throughout the movie.**

I was also thinking about the area where this dialect is spoken bcoz Ameer Khusro was resident of Delhi and the song was taken in Umrao Jaan Ada and the Umrao belonged to Faizabad (UP). Thanks for the information.

Guddii to doll ko kehtain hain and i guess its used in urdu + punjabi too

btw punjabi mein Guddii 'patang (kite)' ko bhi kehtain hain.

**isii liye it’s a obligatory to learn the correct transliteration scheme to write in roman urdu…words ke meaning kuchh se kuchh ho jaate haiN agar saHeeH na likhaa jaaye to…jaise Hindi ka word ****sahii ****aur arabi kaa lafz ****saHeeH **

Joke aside, Mundee is not neck or face, its head (like KKF said). Mundan kerwana is a common religious ceremony in hindu culture ..
