Umera Ahmed's "Meri Zaat Zarra-e-Benishaan"

Re: Umera Ahmed's "Meri Zaat Zarra-e-Benishaan"

Back to the future. Looks like only a couple of episodes are left now.
The Chacha+Afreen scene was intolerably long...needed to be edited.
Pretty good letter by Saba to Arfeen.

Thanks soo much zobia and sehrysh :D

watched epi 18- loved it like always but thought that maybe saba was torturing arfeen in some way by leaving like that and disappearing from him forever when he still loved her endlessly...? although she's right when she says that he should make a better attempt at his marriage.

the scene with arfeen and his dad was sooo touching- the parents in this drama are quite foolish if you think about it and its the children which are forgiving them...
I really think sara needs to speak to haider now... she should explain to him why she doesnt want to marry him anymore because its not his fault in any of this.

Re: Umera Ahmed's "Meri Zaat Zarra-e-Benishaan"

hah this epi answered the questions i had in this threaddd...yay. pooor arfeeeen n sabaa

A total editing failure. The scene between arfeen and his friend was completely unnecessary. Actually they should have had a longer or a couple of scenes with maroosh and arfeen. I am not at all satisfied with how maroush's part ended in the show.

Also, the scene between saba's dad and arfeen. OMG I wanted to rip myhair out. All the things they said have already been said. What's the point of repeating it all.

Scene between arfeen and his dad was really good. Khayam Sarhadi is definitely a great actor.

I am glad we are finally back to the future. Well sort of. Cuz now we will see Saba as Sara's mother, which should be very interesting.

One dialogue that really got to me was when Sara was thinking about her mother and saying something along the lines of how, some kind of silence had taken over Saba's existence. Really sad and true. When you suffer for something you are not guilty of, it really does silence you forever. Because no matter what explanations you give, and no matter how many people are on your side, it just doesnt change what has already happened and how you trust was betrayed.

Something funny: I was watching the drama on youtube and I saw some comments and the end where people were exclaiming, Saba's alive!! I wanted to LOL. Here I thought, Pakistani drama audience was pretty intelligent hahaha

Re: Umera Ahmed's "Meri Zaat Zarra-e-Benishaan"

^hahaha te comments r hilariouss

and yea i wanna see saba from sara's POV now.

Re: Umera Ahmed's "Meri Zaat Zarra-e-Benishaan"

Such a sad drama! Saba is soooo pretty, and such a natural actress! I watched the whole thing over the weekend and now awaiting episode 19! When does it come on or get uploaded? Does anyone know how many episodes there are in this series? Thanks

^ yup episode 19 is out

why poor arfeen? Nuh uh, not poor arfeen

** speechless and teary for the great lady at her best decision!! **

what a speech it was in a poignant and distressing tone!
what a brilliant character developed by Umera!

Re: Umera Ahmed's "Meri Zaat Zarra-e-Benishaan"

^yessss. for sure. i loved it. usually men have all these monologues/voiceovers and they're empowered. i loved it, esp cuz she said it so perfectly!

"ap ne mujhe...
gharoor se chora tha
main ap ko...
aajisi se chorti hoon!!"

What does "aajisi" mean?

humbly/modestly

Re: Umera Ahmed's "Meri Zaat Zarra-e-Benishaan"

great episode and great acting by saba.

thanks Zero for posting the written version :-)

Re: Umera Ahmed's "Meri Zaat Zarra-e-Benishaan"

yeas that letter was sooo beautiful!! made me teary :(

oh yes ladies! Those lines are no doubt so beautiful and heart wrenching... I just could not resist to take notes of them when I was watching this epi 3rd time.. just because these lines/letter are not the part of original novel ... yes,, Saba did not handed over any goodbye letter to arfeen in the novel except few lines face to face earlier on... (then recorded it in mp3 for fast access :))

I assume that it was one of major changes in the novel when it was decided to dramatize ... a nice change with the mutual consent of writer and director cuz it made saba's departure more powerful and more touching!!! (oh well, no bashing for the director anymore --- bache ne akhir kuch kaam tau kia hai naa, though he was lucky ke samia aur faisal ne zabardast acting ker ke kafi weaknesses per perda daal diya)

.

Re: Umera Ahmed's "Meri Zaat Zarra-e-Benishaan"

uurrggghhh!!!! not aired today :(

yup coz due to that stupid awards show …i wonder why the hell geo telecast indians show rather than our dramas :aj:

Re: Umera Ahmed's "Meri Zaat Zarra-e-Benishaan"

^^ I am with you. I don't understand Geo's fascination with all these Indian movies and Award shows. Maybe they don't realize that people in Pakistan already get indian channels and have already seen these movies and awards. Dummies.

Re: Umera Ahmed's "Meri Zaat Zarra-e-Benishaan"

I so hate Geo for doing this!! they have done this third time!!.... aab tak drama khatam ho chuka hota!!! argh!!!
when they are getting great ratings for MZZB... dont they get that ppl are wanting to watch the drama more then a stupid award show!! ......

and then they say that ppl dont watch and appreciate Pakistani work!! how can they do it... when u bring stupidness in between!!!
