Hi Daffy,

Actually, yes in UK they accept either of them, even though the preferred one is “General Traning”, on top GT is even easier than Academic. But then again u need Band 5 for Immigration purpose, so you can take any.

N.B: Australia & Canada do not accept IELTS Academic of immigration purpose, they only accept GT.

Phew! That’s a relief. I am getting 16th November date for Academic one, that’s the most appropriate one for me. I hope it wouldn’t make a difference that I’ve given the academic one.
