hmmmm....ok I give you benefit of the doubt.....as muslims we should not openly admit our sins to one another, even if you are being truthful. The reason for this is bcoz it can spread fitnah.
Re: UK hospital introduced world’s first burqa-style hospital gowns
A heck of alot more than you know about my travels, whereabouts or exposure to different cultures…
After my experiences here and elsewhere, I have come to the conclusion that it isn’t *me *that confuses the status.

" Preserving a patient's Modesty? During a surgery? Is that a prioirty now? I can just see it, especially in breast cancer operations: "I won't let you take out the lumps in my b**** till you give me an inetrfaith gown to wear. Otherwise you might see my hair and that would be immodest."
WTF is wrong….ehhh…nevermind.
I give up! "
Remind me of similar views by some muslims in this thread.
Above quote was written by a person who calls himself:
"Be forewarned: The writer of this blog is an extremely cynical, snarky, pro-US, secular, libertarian, disgruntled sandmonkey. If this is your cup of tea, please enjoy your stay here. If not, please sod off."
Re: UK hospital introduced world's first burqa-style hospital gowns
In the end its just a damn gown, some people like it, some people dont like it, some people want to make fun of it, some people want to make it part and parcel of religion. which its not. It was not like a few months ago..its just a gown that covers better.
Its just a gown.
Not really a whole hell of a lot different than gowns used in hospitals a few decades ago, except for the pants part. I recall that even at that point people who wanted to do hijab, could do it. Those gowns were abandoned for the current style because the current ones are easier to work around.
Now fact of the matter is that the hospital gowns as they are today are a royal pain for the patient. I have worn them, my wife has worn them my sister has worn them, etc etc. and I dont think anyone gives the gowns high marks in terms of comfort or coverage. Especially if someone is a little heavy then the gown is just not going to cover yer rear end properly. The bigger issue is less with when there is some surgery, because at that time depending on the surgery the parts that need to be exposed need to be exposed..and in some cases it can be embarassing but the docs are doign what they need to do.
The bigger issue with current gowns is that if you have visitors pre or post procedure, or you are just in the hospital for monitoring, wearing this can be a problem. I recall when my wife had to stay in the hospital for a while, she was uncomfortable with the gown and had a long bath robe that she would wear on top of it.
Usually unless you are in the hospital for a long time and need to be constantly monitored for something, the time you spend lounging in the gown is not a whole lot, but I can see the need for it, I mean especially with people coming to visit, it can make the prson in question comfortable.
I mean forget women who do hijab, even I would want to wear some Pjs because the damn thing barely reaches my knees and I dont want to give visitors a glimpse of Mr. Happy for no reason. I mean if i had a reasn then sure no worries but otherwise no.
from a facility perspective though I just hope that this new gown does not impede the ability of docs to put IVs, monitoring tags thingies, etc. Or if they need to do something in an emergency that it can be easily removed..because when every second counts, wrestliing with a few layers could be a problem.
and in the end, it still looks like a combo of subzero and cobra commander.
Re: UK hospital introduced world's first burqa-style hospital gowns
^ Great finishing move. Not quite the* Forward, Down, Foward, High Punch* that is the spinal rip, but great move nonetheless.
Re: UK hospital introduced world's first burqa-style hospital gowns
I'm proud to say that I live in the catchment area where these new gowns have been introduced.......
I guess common sense should prevail here - although I haven't read all the posts in the thread there appears to be a mixed reaction..............
Having been into hospital many a time for things like scans, minor procedures and check ups...there is nothing worse than having to hcange into a gown thats either open at the back or that is too short...believe me, it looks very weird with a headscarf.....
So although I don't wear niqaab, just hijaab, I think the gown is most most welcome.....
And I don't for a minute think that the gowns are expected to be used in emergency situations...so I doubt there is any risk to life......
For example, just think how much these will be welcomed by niqaabi women who go into hospitak to give birth????
The chance to cover yourself and be able to walk around etc during labour....and no risk to getting your own clothes dirty....
And anyway, if a woman is wearing these gowns and needs urgent medical attention there is always the option to cut the gown off....after all thats what is done with clothes!!!!
Re: UK hospital introduced world's first burqa-style hospital gowns
Do they have these gowns in Saudi hospitals as well?
I just wonder living in London with the local elections coming up next month and the BNP having more candiates than eva, how long it will be before the BNP come into power when the white ppl see this happening in their own country and hospitals whilst they're being asked to wait longer and longer to be seen due to financial cutbacks. B4 i get blasted this is just my observation.
Re: UK hospital introduced world's first burqa-style hospital gowns
yeah but then you can do a quick financial assessment and show incrementak costs of these gowns, versus the amount NHS pays for alcohol related accidents, fights, illnesses etc :)
BNP are a bunch of goons
Re: UK hospital introduced world's first burqa-style hospital gowns
I wish Le Pen wins elections in France and British politicians get a spine and start kicking out illegals
Re: UK hospital introduced world's first burqa-style hospital gowns
sure man, but this has little to do with illegals.
Re: UK hospital introduced world's first burqa-style hospital gowns
nobody minds these gowns, people like the bnp dont mind these gowns as such - they mind everything not uk white. this is a natural progression of the service offered by the nhs.
the problem with the uk at the mo is that everyone is being overtaxed and nobody knows where its going. these gowns are not a financial burden, will cost just pennies more then others (probably made in france or even pakistan- indication of uk manufacturing)
Re: UK hospital introduced world's first burqa-style hospital gowns
but these gowns do represent an important risk to the patients, so they must sign a release form.
I mean if Scorpion confuses them for Subzero then they are 'toast' :(
Re: UK hospital introduced world's first burqa-style hospital gowns
Well i just think the average white british tax payer isnt gonna see it like that. Esp as its happening in their country.
Re: UK hospital introduced world's first burqa-style hospital gowns
if the tax is an issue here (which is quite understandable) then may be people who desire to wear these gowns, they can pay a little fee...

good idea.
Re: UK hospital introduced world's first burqa-style hospital gowns
^but not needed at all. the cost is not an issue, if someone has an issue its not about the cost!
Re: UK hospital introduced world's first burqa-style hospital gowns
I think its a fine idea....
Though I do think maybe they should put some thought into fairly "modest" gowns for the rest of us, too. Is it so difficult to make a normal hospital gown that isn't totally open in the back? I mean... I'm not particularly picky about dressing incredibly modestly but I'd rather now have my naked rear-end hang out the back.
That picture kind of reminds me of a Ku Klux Klan member dressed in green without the pointy hat.

Do you know why it looks like KKK's costume bcoz muslim designers are too busy in designing clothes for moderates, they can't think that far, designing islamic clothes will be a waste of time and money for them.........so this is the best you can get from a ' jewish designer ' .
I don't care how funny I look in this gown but I'm sure it will be less funny than the usual gown.
Re: UK hospital introduced world's first burqa-style hospital gowns
untrue, muslim designers have ben designing stuff for hijabi/niqabi crowd too. I have seen some very kick ass burqas recently, hugging all the curves, fabric which had some sprakles in it..it was like versace burqa man.
